The abandoned mansions of London

The owners should be tracked down post-haste and be made to pay the accrued tax plus an order to be placed on the properties to seize them after a certain length of time when left to fall into rack and ruin such as those shown.

How they've got the cheek to show places like this I don't know when there are hundreds homeless and living in bad cramped conditions----when nothing, again, will be done !! Rubbing salt into wounds springs to mind.

So what's the proposal ??

It is ridiculous that huge houses like that are left to Rot, when this country desperately needs refuges for battered women or men , or homeless shelters.

If I were Chancellor/PM/Queen(!) I’d slap on such a huge council tax or some’at like that that it would build at least half a dozen council houses or whatever they are called these days.

That’d learn ‘em.

It's obscene and a sad reflection of our country. We need councils to take action and recover housing for people.
