See your point Jane about Midwife and OBEM but these programmes DH watches and yours evidently are ongoing not short series.

DH likes all programmes that involve property, be it buying/selling building or a reno. Fortunately so do I. We also both like anything to do with antiques.
I would say gardening and cookery programmes are enjoyed by all.
DD lived for a while with a guy that watched every cookery programme going.
I agree with jane Midwife etc. seem aimed more at women and of course there is Loose Women smile

I am lucky living alone and being able to watch what I like. However, I do watch Salvage Hunters, Find it, Fix it, Flog it and Car SOS. I am not a sports fan but that is not because I am female, it is just my choice as a human being. Most programmes I think would appeal to any gender, so I don't feel deprived of any targeted at women only.
I hope you have the use of a TV in a separate room smile.

overthehill those are exactly the programmes my DH likes.
Re targeted at women: I doubt that many men willingly choose to watch 'Call the Midwife' or 'One Born every Minute'!

This is a list of what DH likes to watch

Shed & Buried
Scrap Kings
Salvage Hunters
Motorbike show
Find it Flog it Fix it
Chasing Classic cars
Car SOS
Wheeler Dealers
Top Gear

This got me thinking, I am not saying women cannot watch and maybe some women enjoy some of those programmes but they are targeted at men. What programmes are targeted at women? All I can think of is the Sewing Bee and that has finished now.

Then lets not forget football of course.
