(46 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey start here in Brackley this morning , had a good 12 hours sleep trying to recover from the visit to London.

kittylester thank you for the reply but I don't know what a thread is or how to start one. My late husband was the whizz at technology not me I can only do the very basic things.
Whiff, I'd start a thread about this, if I were you, as not many people will see it on here.
Good to see you back Marydoll
NannyJ will you be holding a virtual party to celebrate the opening of your new kitchen ? Can I come, it’s bound to be a bostin’ do ? ?
Whiff I can understand your shock at this inappropriate behaviour. A couple of years ago I gave a man £2.00 - he was walking around an outdoor cafe looking for change, he was clearly homeless. He asked to kiss my hand, I can’t remember my response. My DH gave a Big Issue seller in our town a fiver one Christmas and he also asked if he could kiss DH’s hand which he declined rapidly ?
When did it become acceptable for complete strangers to kiss you on the cheek. Yesterday I went to my local shops. I used a ATM and a man behind me asked if I would show him how to use it. After a few minutes he had finished and much to my surprise kissed me on the cheek and offer to give me his phone number. I said no and quickly walked away. It all happened so quick I didn't know what to do or how to react. I started going out with my future husband when I was sixteen and he was eighteen. We were together until he's death fifteen years ago . He was forty seven and I was forty five. Since his death I have never wanted another man in my life. I still love Nick very much and I can't see that ever changing. I was lucky we had a good marriage. As all relationships it had its ups and downs. I know over the years my daughter, daughter in law ,nieces and friends have had to fend of unwanted attention from men but this is the first time for me since I was a teenager. Does this sort of thing happen a lot to women my age ?
I would love to know if it has and how you handed it.
Good Morning from a bright but chilly Black Country.
Have spent this morning putting everything back into the Kitchen cupboards after the makeover. Still have to chose tiles and the cooker will not be in until next Friday, so we are off out for a meal tonight!
Sorry to hear you have been so unwell Marydoll, but what fantastic care from your consultant. I hope you and DGD feel much better soon.
Enjoy your trip Dora I always have the same doubts regarding clothes when travelling, so ending taking far too much.
Have a good Saturday everyone.
Goodmorning Mick and all. Marydoll, Sorry to hear your RA is playing up. I have OA in my right knee, nothing compared to your RA. My friend suffers from that and she is on a lot of medication.
Take care all xx
A VERY late good morning from a dull NE coast . I’m not going to lie.... I had 2 or 3 (or was it 4?) glasses of vino last night and just couldn’t get up this morning . I spent most of yesterday afternoon at the hospital but to make up for it DH and I cooked the most delicious Hairy Bikers seafood Fregola for supper which was a bit faffy but definitely worth the effort.
A busy day ahead as you best DGD being dropped off soon for an overnight.
So sorry to hear your hands are still causing you a lot of pain Marydoll and that your little GD is poorly again with her asthma. Poor lamb.
Wishing everyone a happy Saturday x
A rather late good morning to you, seems the sun is doing it's best in most places, but the wind is still cold. Good for the washing which is blowing nicely. Lots of odds and ends to sort out this morning, so no time to linger. Take care and enjoy your days.
Good morning all. Northampton a bit grey this morning.
Having a lazy morning, then after lunch will walk to the paper shop, pay my bill, and cancel papers when I'm away.
Nothing else planned for today, will probably extend my walk and get some much needed exercise. Might walk up to garden centre and have a browse.
Hope everyone's day goes well.
Good morning peeps
from a cold damp west Yorkshire. Dog walk planned after i can brave getting out of this warm bed! Shopping this afternoon, more browsing than spending though, as I'm saving for a kitchen. Enjoy your day x
Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Hope it stays dry as we are doing garden chores today... cleaning and painting the furniture etc. We need to buy a new parasol but the rest will last another Summer.
I had placed a fiver on Lake View Lad before I read Gaga's tip...the only time I ever bet is the Grand National!
Good morning all , a dry one at last , one load of washing out and a second churning away
for all the poorly people and
for all those with nursing duties , I think the latter need a (((((( hug ))))))
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and cold in South Yorkshire. I had yet another broken night, so am late turning up here. Nothing planned except library this afternoon and a bit of shopping. Marydoll you sound as if both you and your GD are going through the mill. Hope you both have a better day?. Have a good day folks.
Good morning all, especially those feeling unwell at the moment.
A quiet day here under a cloudy County Durham sky.
I have GC toy boxes to sort out today and find space to store ( previously kept in our untidy, now pristine porch). There may be some charity bags filled too so a good opportunity for a clear out awaits.
Italian restaurant for a meal tonight is worth looking forward to later. Christmas present vouchers from DS and DIL to be used at last.
Have a happy Saturday everyone.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Hope everyone has a good day x
Good morning All x

It's good to see our absent friends back on track, Marydoll, but what a time you've had. Not nice when you're unwell.

Good morning everyone. Is Mick not well? I wasn't on yesterday. Cheshire skies are blue at the moment and the sun has cleared the frost. Walking in the woods with my neighbours at nine. Meeting my sister for lunch and shopping for holiday stuff for her Golden Wedding trip.
So envious of the Bilbao/San Sebastian trip Dora. You can always layer clothes if it's cold. Have fun.
Get well wishes to Gnetters and families who're in hospital or not well at home.
Good morning, dry and overcast.
Shopping and catching up on jobs as we will collect GD tomorrow.
Good Morning from a bright and windy S Welsh coast.

A quiet day in prospect for us, DH will do the shopping later.
