I was 4 days per week on pick up and all day on 1 day a week until my health let me down. I am lucky they are now a bit older and I only do a full day on 1 day and the rest on an as needed basis. When they're 15 they don't want a babysitter.

That's a fair comment gransal smile. Did you do it often or everyday because for me, it will be everyday no doubt.

I am gran/stepgran of 10. having done lots of school pick ups I think about 90% of kids coming out of class. do not zip up their jackets. It is much quicker just to do it yourself although you know they can do it themselves.

I wouldn't say I'm overthinking it Mycatisahacker, its me just thinking they could do it themselves instead of getting me or mummy to do it ;).

Hi ladies, I am a newbie here so first, I will tell you a little bit about myself smile.

I am a grandma to twin 5yr old girls that are very active, they do Gymnastics and Highland Dancing.

My daughter is a single parent so that means that I pick the girls up from school due to the fact that she works.

One thing I have noticed this winter when I have picked them up is that, no matter what the weather, they come out with jackets wide open so I have to ask them to zip their jackets up, but, apparently they get it done for them by my daughter so, should I do the same or am I right to get them doing it themselves?
