I used to live Royal Scott biscuits. Not sure if they are still about.

No decent biscuits around. M&S used to do ginger thins which were delicious-----then they vanished sad

What happened to those large round serrated-edged biscuits that were shortbread on one side and thick milk chocolate on the other. The name/make was embossed on the shortbread side, which was sprinkled with sugar.

Only a few in a packet and certainly not many to the lb.

I just loved Old English Spangles too, I can just taste them now!

Old English Spangles! Wasn't one of the flavours wintergreen, which I think was used as a liniment for aches and pains?

I loved Floral gums, which you still occasionally see in quaint sweet shops.

Oh yes. Spangles were lovely. I loved Fry's Five Centres and if I had the money I would treat myself to a quarter of Lucky Numbers - I can still remember the theme tune to the advert.

The original Cadbury chocolate, can’t stand the new stuff. Stopped buying when the American company broke their promise and made lots of people redundant.

Loved the butterscotch ones. And pacers. And Tooty Minties. Does anyone else remember the cinnamon ones? They were not around for long. But shame Tooty Minties bit the dust and Pacers too. I used to love the Elizabeth Shaw mint chocolate bars - green and brown chocolate, subtle flavour. Not cheap but so good

Lemonade ones though and the butterscotch ones

I liked those too but not all of the flavours. Used to palm off the ones I wasn't keen on onto my siblings

Old English Spangles were my absolute childhood favourite

Chatting with friends yesterday and conversation turned to sweets (we are all rather guilty of having a sweet tooth) and the ones we loved that you can't get any more. Who else remembers Pacers and Spangles? They don't make them like they used to
