Noticed some frog spawn today in our tiny pond in the garden. It’s arrived almost to the day as it did last year grin - what punctual frogs!

I have it too! Always exciting.

The top of my pond is quivering with tiny tadpoles, spawn laid about a month ago. If they survive there will be lots of froglets this year.

Ahh so jealous had a pond, small one, for twenty something years never had any frog spawn, my daughter doesn’t have any water in her garden but has a family of frogs she doesn’t like

Toad spawn for us. It's laid in strings rather than blobs.

Dd has some every year in a small, extremely shallow pond - more of a glorified birdbath really. Some was there when we all first viewed the house nearly 4 years ago. She was then pregnant, now has a 2 and a 3 year old who are very interested in all things tadpole/frog.

Last night same dd went on a 'toad patrol' locally, in an area where the poor things get splatted as they try to cross the road. Must ask how many they saved, if any.
