Mick
Yoo Hoo TUGGY and welcome to Gransnet if you’re new. I’m just down river. You seem to have lost a day .....Maybe you should move your post over to the good morning Friday thread.
Good morning everyone from Newcastle. Staying at my sons for a week .We are from Plymouth in Devon. Lovely morning. It's our Golden wedding Anniversary today. Looking forward to a wonderful day.
Good morning from grey Cheltenham. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all from a warm and sunny C. Durham.
After visit to the solicitor yesterday I too am being encouraged to write out funeral plans Marydoll. DH did his a while ago and now I'm being pressed to get mine done. It's so hard making a start on something you don't really want to think about but I am determined it will be done today then I can put it all to the back of my mind.
Looking forward to some gardening at last after the house clean. I must say the new kitchen is much easier to keep spick and span. The old one was hard work.
Have a lovely day everyone.
A bit late in the day because I've been out and about since early morning.
Hope you had a wonderful day drinking coffee and shopping in B & B
It's still very hot here and my front door is open 24 hours a day (unless I'm out of course) as I can't sleep without fresh air through the house in such weather.
The trees are just beginning to turn and with the extremely hot summer we've had so far, are bound to be picturesque and ablaze with colour.
I'm not looking forward to winter but that's another 2+ months away.
Morning All
A misty start here in the north of Norfolk. I had hoped the sun would burn through but it hasn’t yet.
We had new windows a while ago Annie. It’s not too bad, little mess, they worked mostly from the outside and they’re very quick. Lots of banter too!
And gillybob - 20%!! How on earth can they justify that! Good luck.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Hope today is as sunny as yesterday.
New window and door fittings have started in the bungalows, dreading it.
Younger daughter going home this morning , will miss her so much.
Hope everyone has a good day x
Good Morning all , grey and mild out , the mini Daffodils are in full bloom , think they are called Minnows , I couldn't find tete a tete at the time , these are paler and very pretty . Cleaned patio doors yesterday , using the newspaper tip that someone mentioned , worked a treat but my arms are aching now , doesn't take much to set off elderly muscles
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A bit of a grey start in South Yorkshire, but not cold. I ache from head to foot this morning and am reluctant to leave my bed, but shopping to do, and then the last school run of the week later. Nankate so sad to hear about your friend’s son. 44 is no age.
Kitty I hope Bertie is feeling better this morning. A visit from his granny will be a tonic!
Have a good day folks.
Good morning from ne. Having bad night didn't sleep well have hospital appointment at 4 so long day. Worrying about going as I hate hospitals (such a fool) but needs seeing to as asthma seems to have got worse. Will keep busy till then .
Good morning everyone from a dry and mild South Manchester. Car problem to sort today. It packed up last night. We need to sort a pick up truck to the garage.
It’s not going to be cheap whatever it is. Oh joy. ?
Good morning from a very mild NE coast. Off to “that place” . I’m meeting the valuer from the LA regarding the proposed rent rise on our factory unit of 20%..... not that I think they will change their greedy, fat cat, little minds but I’m giving it a go anyway.
Sorry to hear your grandson Bertie is poorly Kitty (asthma is horrible and there seem to be so many children suffering).
I know what you mean about the birds oldgaijin we don’t seem to be able to keep the bird table stocked, it’s all gone before I get in from work. I do enjoy watching them at the weekend .
What on earth. did you go and drop a weight on your foot for Harri? That was a silly thing to do ! (Perhaps you need to drop one in the other foot then at least the bruising will match). Sorry, I bet it’s sore.
Have a good Thursday everyone. x
Good morning all. Bright and sunny in E. Northants. Had real trouble logging in this morning and had to reset my password. I never understand why these things happen, when I log in to gn several times a day from my favourites list.
Bit of shopping to do today and other plans yet to be finalised with granddaughter . Hope it's a pleasant day for everyone!
Good morning, overcast but mild here in the NE.
Had a very pleasant lunch and afternoon yesterday despite having dropped a four kilo weight on my foot before I put my shoes on. The foot is a fetching black and blue now.
Good morning everyone. Dry in Lancashire this morning, lovely sunshine yesterday.
Out all day with a friend today.
Best wishes to your dgs kitty.
Enjoy your day all.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Looking grey again.
Sorry about your sad news NanKate
Sending healing thoughts to all those sick or worried today.
I shall sew up my knitting today. It's my least favourite part but a long overdue sweater for DGS who grows faster than I can knit.
Good morning all from a dull and damp Fife. Had a lovely time yesterday with DGS1 so much fun. Today I’m meeting up with friend for catch up and coffee followed by shopping. I admire you Marydoll you seem to have your ‘forward planning’ in hand. For those under the weather today take good care. Hope the day is good to everyone.
morning a lovely new day day sun is out and birds singing.
enjoy your day whatever you do

Good morning from a grey but dry Aberdeenshire. First job this morning is to fill the bird feeders...they are eating me out of house and home but are such a pleasure to watch. Then the mutt and I are away to the woods to meet his new doggie pals. Have to take daily pics to send to Singapore as the grands miss their dog so much.
I think a little gardening this afternoon, maybe tottering in the greenhouse if the weather's not fine.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all; it's really bright and sunny in Northampton this morning so I have put a load of washing on.I
Had a nice day shopping in Milton Keynes yesterday; treated myself to steak frites (and wine!) in Cafe Rouge , and got a really nice shirt with my voucher.
General tidy up this morning, then Sainsbury's delivery due. Hospital this afternoon to have a check on my wrist. Collect repaired watch from the jeweller and a visit to the bank. And get some fresh veg off the market.
Hope those people who are suffering feel better soon.
Good morning All x
Cloudy so far, quiet, dry and mild .
Spot of ironing today, not much else. Workman again today so must have a quick wash as they tend to catch you unawares.
Hope all is well with everyone.
Good morning all from a wet Glasgow.
We have a very exciting day ahead, shopping at LIdl and then organising our funeral plans! ? This is the next stage in my plan, after successfully having cleaned out the linen cupboard yesterday. I found lots of forgotten clothes purchases for DGD. She will be the best dressed girl at nursery for the next six months,
I'm so sorry to hear about Bertie, Kitty. My middle son was exactly the same, it's so distressing for children, when they have a flare up.
NanKate, my condolences ? and Gaga, you will be so glad to get the stitches out.
I do like the idea of the bus journey NannyJan.
Enjoy your Thursday, all.
Morning all.
Grey and damp in Kent. No plans for today.
I hope Bertie is feeling better poor boy.
Have a good day everyone.
Morning Mick and everyone from a cloudy South Welsh coast.
Hope Bertie will be better soon kitty.
NanKate ?
Mobile hairdresser called yesterday, feeling better after a trim. Also DH was able to have his hair cut too as wound has healed well after stitches were removed last week, bio oil has done the trick.
