I had written quite a long post following your initial post Galen and in fact I felt that was the end of my days in this Kitchen.
Having read your personal comment I have re written this.
Being mainly house bound, and when not caring for my sickly man, my days are long....... so writing having been a lifetime`s pleasure, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time joining in here
.In fact I would go as far as to say it has became my Haven,a real port in the storm of life and the dear ones here have shown me such caring when my back was well and truly up against the wall.
Thankfully very many of these ladies.....*N & G*,*Baggs*,*GQ*,*Doodle*........and of course our Soop stepped in and soothed any ripples in the pond before they even began!!!
Such wise heads.
Whilst the membership here has surely almost doubled in the past 6 months therefore there are far more posts.......it is our own perogative whether to read each and every one, or skip,we all have "an off button" after all, whilst in replying we should all follow our usual path.
I having a caring and compassionate nature and have worked in the caring profession for most of my long life,so obviously tend to pass remarks wherever any one of our posters has a problem, often following it up with a PM......it is in my DNA ....I could not live with myself were I not doing what truly just comes naturally to me.
I realise and happily accept that most of my postings gets no reply, that again is the nature of these forums when there are so many taking part with a very wide field of interests.
But again we cannot enjoy all that everyone may write about, for example you enjoy your recipes Galen.............that is fine by me as I simply skip across, because being on a life time diet of mainly "Ensures" (a meal in a can) anything regarding food obviously it does not exactly turn me on.
But I accept we are all different and all I would say is we should each just do what our heart dictates.Pointless following like sheep because one feels one must.......the result then is insincerity..... then I agree the reading becomes boring and repetitive.
Let us each do our own thing,TOYA is a great addition Doodle
Whilst we continue embracing this lovely Kitchen and the warm, caring, supporting nature..... but also the humerous and ever so interesting........ ambience that our Soop has brought us.
I have more reason than some to say it is indeed my Haven,my second home, and the dear ladies here have shown me such overwhelming love and support at a time when my back was truly up against the wall.
Thank you Soop and long live the Kitchen you created for us.
We do appreciate it........and you.
