I like Julia Hartley-Brewer's pink leather gloves. And Anne McElvoy's blue puffa coat.

Double Holby next week. Tuesday and Wednesday.

mcem Tue 12-Mar-19 21:55:00

I have Holby set to record at 11.05. Didn't see it had been cancelled!

paddyann Tue 12-Mar-19 21:35:52

why have they cancelled Holby? We all knew how the vote would go ,pointless spoiling our viewing as well.Highlight of my week is Holby I just love Ric

Jane10 Tue 12-Mar-19 20:52:00

She'd be as good as any of them!

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 20:44:22

Her mum's probably got her lined up to be an MP. grin

NotTooOld Tue 12-Mar-19 20:41:32

Definitely something to tell her grandchildren. It was a quick shot when all the MPs were milling around during the vote and the TV presenter made a fleeting reference to her. She was wearing bright pink.

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 20:37:08

No! I wish I'd seen that. grin Quite an experience for her.

NotTooOld Tue 12-Mar-19 20:35:20

Did anyone else notice the little girl in the chamber this evening? I suppose her parent just had to be there and the babysitter let her down.

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 20:33:05

Ooh, I like wire fox terriers. Well done little doggie.

CanadianGran Tue 12-Mar-19 20:29:47

Darn... thought you were talking about the Dog Show.
A lovely Wire Fox Terrier took best in show.

Yes, I admire TM, too, even though I don't think she has made a good job of the negotiations. Poor woman, having to address the H of C with a sore throat this evening. I suppose it would not have looked good if someone had just read it all out for her. She looked dreadful in Strasbourg last night, very thin and grey. Can't be doing her health any good at all.

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 20:09:41

Well varian, you never know....!

Anniebach Tue 12-Mar-19 20:06:43

Corbyn sending out emails asking for donations , he says a general election is very near.

I do admire Mrs May, the Scots MP just had to mock her croaky voice, sad man

varian Tue 12-Mar-19 20:06:01

Gonegirl my solution to the Irish border problem is that the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland remains a members of the European Union.

Jane10 Tue 12-Mar-19 20:00:17

Come the next general election a helluva lot of MPs are going to lose their seats! The electorate are absolutely fed up with the lot of them. Brexiteers voting against the deal, remainders voting for it?!

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 19:49:24

Yes merlot!!! Good point.

Jane10 Tue 12-Mar-19 19:44:51

It's an impossible task! Nobody will ever agree. Meanwhile the economy will be in deeper and deeper trouble. sad

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 19:43:10

varian what is your solution to the Irish backstop?

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 19:42:10

I think she would hate to do that.

varian Tue 12-Mar-19 19:41:37

Feeling sorry for TM is not a good reason for supporting her. She has got so many things wrong.

Jalima1108 Tue 12-Mar-19 19:40:21

She could, of course, now say 'Oh, sod the lot of you, I'm off on a nice relaxing holiday, sort it out for yourselves and see if you can do any better'.

But she's probably too polite to say that.

Jalima1108 Tue 12-Mar-19 19:37:45

I keep telling myself 'she volunteered!'.

Having volunteered, she is not a quitter and is determined to see it through to the bitter end.
And it is very bitter.

merlotgran Tue 12-Mar-19 19:34:26

If I were her I'd be sticking pins in a David Cameron doll.

Gonegirl Tue 12-Mar-19 19:32:05

I agree. I feel so sorry for her.

Jane10 Tue 12-Mar-19 19:30:19

I don't know how she can keep going. Poor soul. No need for snippy comments on that BTW. I'm just sorry for her as a woman in her 60s in a hellish no win situation.
