Stratton powder compact replacement..

I have a vintage Stratton pressed powder compact and I am trying to fit a replacement. The replacement powders - Rimmel, Max Factor - glue the powder tray in so when trying to push it out the pressed powder crumbles. I’m on my third replacement with no success .... Any ideas please ..!! Thanks x

Have you tried warming the glue on the bottom with a hairdryer.

And if you want to use up the crumbled powder, use a pestle and mortar to turn it to talc, wet thoroughly with 70% or more alcohol and press it back into the pan. The alcohol will evaporate.
