There have been many sad posts recently, people coping with very difficult circumstances and this just spoke to me. We may not know each other personally but we can still be there.

It certainly touched a nerve for me, as I was feeling quite low Annep.
Thanks for sharing. Very apt for me, as I have to watch Winnie the Pooh on an almost daily basis with my wee granddaughter.

If only all friends were like that.
I have discovered I have "fair weather friends" but one or two who are there for all times.
Sadly they are in the minority.
Human nature I suppose.
I cherish the ones who support me, I will do the same for them, my nature also makes me support the others, I need to do it for my sake.

Annsixty I think that's quite normal. I have a few friends but I only ever had two very close friends who stuck by me and supported me in bad times as I did for them. Sadly one died last year. It takes time to build such friendships.
Some people are more caring than others- human nature as you say. You're obviously one of those. As long as you don't exhaust yourself giving too much.

I have found out so much since my H developed dementia and is now in care.
It has made me super sensitive but also super supportive to anyone I feel needs it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dear husband Annsixty . My mum had dementia so I can empathise a little.
It's so thoughtful of you to think of others needing support. I'm sure it's appreciated. And apparently most people can count their true friends on one hand.

Yes it's a lovely little story and hopefully something that children will be read at school.

Really brought a lump to my throat. There are lots of 'Pooh' quotes that are really lovely and quite thought-provoking.

"The things that make me different are the things that make me."

This one is very apt for me
