Donkey's years ago I put a little " pill " inside my dad's cigarette but it produced " snow " when he lit it. There were different little pellets producing various displays. My favourites were the bangers. All from the joke shop !

This " pill " on the thread could well have been a filter like someone said. I'm sure a pungent aroma would have arisen if it had been anything else.

Yes that was almost certainly a filter tip. I used to smoke rollies many many years ago, and always inserted a little white filter at one end. If I'd run out of filters I did what Farmor's OH does and put in a rolled up piece of card.

I used to roll my own all the time although these days I only smoke if I’m very stressed. You can buy filters for Rollins in menthol or plain and either slim or regular tips. It’s also loads cheaper than ‘tailor mades’

Or could it have been a filter? I remember my mum had a little wooden box contraption for making roll ups for herself and dad.

Are you sure it was a pill? My OH smokes rollups (much to my annoyance- I hate smoking). He often puts a tiny bit of rolled up card at the mouth end so strands of tobacco don’t get in his mouth.
