MP pay rise

It’s not just the salary thing that upsets me; it’s the outrageous expenses claims. Greed is not the word for it.

Since the current Government came to power in 2010 - MPs' salaries have risen by 18% at a time when the rest of the public sector's pay has been severely restricted as a result of the austerity pay cap. But MP's themselves have not been subjected to the "austerity" policies that they imposed on others

Of course the body which awards the pay rises is completely independent - ha
Their salaries are obviously not related to how well or not they do their job. Every pay rise just slides through uncontested, its disgraceful.
