I have never found clothes in my local charity shop- they are clean but very well worn. What I do buy are books. They are sold cheaply because they want a good turnover which they get. They never turn down piles of books which are delivered.

That really was an excellent bargain.

A week or so ago, DH’s office chair collapsed down and wouldn’t come back up. Then this morning I went through one of our Charity shops, on the way to buy loo rolls. On the way back through, I spotted two office chairs. One had been reserved, so I reserved the other, until DH could try it out. It was fine, and we bought it for £20.00. Bargain.
Looking on-line, they can cost between £70+, up to £900!! ?
Now we just have to get rid of the old one.

I went into one of our local shops on Friday and bought a beautiful 100% cashmere v neck sweater. It is navy blue and although it is gents jumper when i tried it on it looked fine. Wore it today with navy jeans and it looks perfect. So soft yet so warm and only 4.00. When i googled the price of a new one 90-100pounds depending on the brand. Got to be my bargain of the year so far. smile
