Good morning, Michael and all GNs on St David’s Day. It is grey and cold here in South Yorkshire, and my own resident Welshman is full of snot and woe! I feel I may soon follow. Nothing much going on here today apart from picking up a book from the library. My fingers are crossed for you Gilly - an anxious time. Have a good day folks.

Urmstongran Fri 01-Mar-19 08:21:30

Good morning everyone from a damp grey but mild South Manchester. It checked it down here yesterday evening.

Happy St. David’s day to all our Welsh friends here.

sallyann I’m full of admiration for anyone who can fly back from Cambodia (I’ve never been but it’ll have been a long flight) and then get up to play table tennis the next day! ?

I can understand why you’re on pins gillybob good luck. You’d think they’d keep sisters together automatically wouldn’t you but times have definitely changed! Do let us know how it goes.

No plans today for me. Nice.

Good morning and Happy St David’s Day!
Grey here and we’ve had a bit of rain in the night but I am ??? less and very much looking forward to meeting Bluesapphire for coffee later this morning.
Wishing you all, and in particular our Welsh grans, a pleasant day!

gillybob Fri 01-Mar-19 08:03:31

Good morning from a grey, dull NE coast. It’s one of those mornings where the sea and the sky have joined together.

Thank goodness it’s Friday.

The secondary school places are announced later this morning and I have had little sleep worrying about DGD (11) getting a place at her older sisters secondary school, which is very close to home. The alternative doesn’t bear thinking about and I’m not sure I could face another round of appeals. My fingers are well and truly crossed ? along with my toes, legs, arms.......

Have a good Friday everyone x

Morning all. It's dull and grey today in C.Durham.
Dancing later, so that should waken me up as I'm feeling so dizzy this morning.
Kitchen tiles are looking lovely so that's a job now closer to completion.
GD1 needs a lift to her ballet class after school so dreading the thought of all that traffic which I'm just not used to driving in anymore.
March already, wow! Happy St. David's Day to all you folk who are celebrating. Have a lovely day.

Willow10 Fri 01-Mar-19 07:49:30

Good morning all. It's a damp, grey morning in E.Northants - back to normal for March I guess! That taste of Spring was lovely while it lasted. Ten pin bowling with U3A today, always enjoyable. Have a pleasant day everyone.

Gagagran Fri 01-Mar-19 07:45:19

Morning all! It's grey, damp and mild here on the south coast but we can't complain after such a spell of lovely weather.

I have some dried fruit soaking in tea ready for the makings of a tea loaf so need to get that done and in the oven. Nothing much else planned so we'll see what the day brings.

Hope it's a kind one for us all.

Good morning all from a cloudy and murky Glasgow.

Up early to get ready to go and meet the Edinburgh grans, as I need to get two trains. They are such a nice bunch and I always enjoy meeting them.
Brunette, I hope you are enjoying your stay in Glasgow. I shall be on Platform 3 in Central station at 10am if you happen to be passing. grin.

I'm so disorganised this morning. My son unexpectedly appeared last night, having walked to our house, (trying to lose weight), DIL appeared to pick up DS and DGD, then my daughter and her fiance came in on their way back from the airport, as they had missed DGD. Nothing got done, but it was so good to see them all.
DD brought me a magic box from Budapest, it's so magic I can't work out how to open it. confused

Have a pleasant day everyone.

Good morning, a bit misty here in Leicestershire after much needed rain last night.

Busy day today after a busy week. Going to see Mum, look for indoor shoes for Dad, shopping in M&S then trying to fix a WiFi light for a friend this afternoon.

Kitty I can’t believe your daughters don’t trust you ?

DoraMarr Fri 01-Mar-19 07:32:28

Rabbits!
Good morning from a rather overcast Birmingham. Having my morning tea before my eldest daughter arrives with her toddler son for me to look after for the day- he is so much fun! I’m glad to be back in my childmindingroutine. I hope it will be dry enough for a walk in the park.
I hope everyone has a good day!

A day of catching up on chores.

BlueSapphire Fri 01-Mar-19 07:18:59

Good morning everyone. Damp, grey and wet in Northampton today. I got half the back lawn cut yesterday before the rain put a stop to it. So it was a lazy day after that catching up on the newspapers, and doing crosswords and sudoku.
Off out for coffee this morning, meeting a fellow Gransnetter,
Then a bit of shopping in Sainsbury's.
Hope your day goes well.

Gettingitrightoneday Fri 01-Mar-19 07:18:33

Good Morning All.
At least for today the weather is behaving as it should for the time of year.
The very warm weather is not good for this time of year.

Global warming is here with a vengence.

Hello All,
Still dark here in Surrey, so not sure what weather is doing,
Back last evening from holiday in Singapore and Cambodia with DH and friends. Great experience. Two very contrasting countries! Both great in their own way. Cambodia is unbelievable.
Back to reality today. Unpacking and then Table tennis later followed by lunch and relaxing afternoon

NanKate Fri 01-Mar-19 06:27:57

Morning Mick and All.

Yes it’s grey and dull here in South Bucks too Mick

Off for a blood test this morning, then off to a friend’s house to collect DH’s coat he left there yesterday then onto another friend’s where I left my NT card and took hers in place of it - we are a dopey pair ?

Then back to watch the tennis from Acapulco.
