Morning All , I am back in bed with my coffee , too early to get dressed ! At the Club this Morning , out for lunch , then we are having an " Interaction " session with local primary school children . Should I dust off my hoary old tales of chalk and slate or tell the truth

Good Morning to everyone from a beautiful Fife once again. Unfortunately DGS1 has chickenpox so won't have our usual company today. Will do whatever I can to assist DD. Can't believe this gorgeous weather. Enjoy your day.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. I think today will be the last of our sunny days for a while. We are supposed to be going out for lunch and a walk, but DH’s eye is giving him problems again, so we will have to see. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from another bright frosty morning in Northampton.

Eldest DGD has just gone to school and I shall walk her sister there at 8.30. Their last morning here as mum and dad are back today. I shall be able to have a lie-in tomorrow!

Going to make most of today as my darling DH would have wanted - he died a year ago today and there will be lots of memories and heartache, but I shall try to put on a bright face along with bright clothes and think about the good times.

I am going to book club this morning and then DD is coming for tea and then we go to our wine club this evening.

By the way, BlueSapphire is because that was the last wedding anniversary we celebrated, 45 years. We met 50 years ago, and our first date was the day before my birthday in April.

And my favourite gin is Warner Edwards!

Morning all, another sunny day on Oxfordshire.
On the roses theme I inherited a dark red climbing rose when we moved here 30 years ago, heavenly scent. We are thinking of moving and I would love to take this or a cutting with us. Any tips?

Good morning,another bright start in Shropshire.Having a pottering day today,nothing too strenuous.We went to Llandudno on Monday and did a lot of walking and yesterday cut the grass and tidied the garden so a quieter day before the mini tornado arrives for her sleepover tomorrow.

Good morning all from a brilliantly sunny Aberdeenshire...there's a wee nip in the air and the grass is very dewy. At last I have finished in the shed...what began as a wee tidy to find some jam jars became a major blitz and have culled a heap of flower pots to manageable proportions. Another trip to the dump, O Joy!! I'm so chuffed that I keep going out for another look. Think I'll power hose the paths/slabs etc. this morning then shall put feet up later while the boiler is serviced.

I could live with this weather all year round, it's lovely even if it is cooler on this coast.

Speaking of roses I've never yet seen nor smelled the white rose-bush which was in the garden of the family home. It was obviously one of the " old-fashioned " Rosa type of which the like will never be seen again. I can " see and smell it " in my mind.

Nothing much on the agenda today so far but you never know as I've always lived with that element of surprise both good and bad.

Hope this day goes well for everyone.

Lovely day in London yesterday but glad to have a taxi home from the station as I was feeling very “spaced” out, even slightly dizzy. First cold of the winter, in fact first cold since about this time last year so I have been lucky.
So I am keeping my distance and my germs well away from you all

It’s another glorious morning here in South Yorkshire, but, as Greyduster says is set to change back to dull and grey tomorrow, so need to make the most of it!
Hope to get into the garden today to tidy up a bit.
Wompus, it’s quite straightforward taking a rose cutting. You will need a piece about 8 inches long. Cut a piece that is cut just above a node (where the next leaf is about to burst). Cut this straight, then when you have your cutting trim the top, cutting at an angle, so you can tell top trim bottom. Dip the bottom into hormone powder and plunge into a pot of compost. It takes about 8 weeks to root. You can take several cuttings this way. If you google ‘how to take rose cuttings’, you will see lots of sites, some with videos, that show you.
It’s fairly easy though. Good luck.

Good morning all, it's beautiful & sunny here in Devon, pity I can't go out & enjoy it as I was diagnosed with Cellulitis yesterday, antibiotics & elevate my leg. Still good excuse to do nothing apart from eat, drink & catch up on TV or read a book.
