Such a lot happening in the kitchen again. You aren’t the only one struggling to recall it izabella. I’m hoping tomorrow is a better day for you and your recent experience is just a post holiday blip.

Chronic pain is so debilitating panache, hope your husband is more comfortable and yes, tetchiness does seem to sort of go with pain territory. I know I’m difficult to be with when I have a flare up, good humour is certainly in short supply. Difficult for those around me. Wishing you both well.

I’ve been having a struggle to get things to post. Gave up with the Lights images, will try again soon. Fingers crossed that this will arrive. Take care everyone.

I had arranged to visit Soop tomorrow afternoon, but I have just had a call saying my wee granddaughter has had an asthma flare up and is quite unwell.
I will have to postpone my visit to the hospital, as I'm now on granny duty.
It's quite upsetting, breaking my word to Soop. ?

Senile dementia is not a good thing. My mother had it and would not admit to it. It caused endless problems.

Izabella, you can be excused for not knowing about my son, you`ve been languishing on those beautiful sunny beaches, now you`re back to reality. I`m sorry about your problems rearing their heads, but as others have said, you need to settle back into home life.
To all who`ve mentioned the possibility of hospital transport for David, I`ll mention it when I see him. My 2 younger daughters have offered to take him sometimes, as well as his wife. Their youngest son has a car, but as well as being at college most days, he still doesn`t like driving outside our town.
I`ve been thinking about Soop all day today. I hope all has gone well for her, and that MacSporran is coping with the stress and strain of waiting, bless him.

GreyD, vacuum cleaners can be lethal. A few years ago I fell down the last 5 steps of our stairs, landed on the vacuum cleaner, and somehow cut my leg badly enough to need stitches. I love my GTECH, wish I`d had it sooner.

Sorry to hear about your buggerations Izabella , how frustrating!! Worrying cannot be helping you or your condition but easier said than done to stop I suspect.

Be kind to yourself - ( Tuesday was a rubbish day anyway ;-) ...I always favour Friday!!). Take some time to settle in . Hopefully things will seem less fraught.

I have just had my half yearly diabetic review and if it was scored like an exam I got an A+ . I am most pleased with my efforts, now I just have to keep it up ….which is hard when a KitKat chunky is calling me from the refrigerator…. save me ladies !!!

GreyD that fall sounds very painful. I worry about falling at home, my place is so small I wouldn't have to wobble too far from the vertical before hitting a wall or two before reaching the floor! It's the sort of thing estate agents call a 'compact, bijou residence'

Synonymous I recently bought one of those upright cleaners and it's great. Using my cylinder cleaner caused me so much back pain I'd spend the rest of the day on my massage chair, but the lightweight GTech is fabulous, so easy to use and empty I wish I'd bought one when they first came on the market. (Other cleaners are also available!)

Izabella any change in routine can cause a little confusion. As others have said you should settle back in another couple of days.

Izabella that is very difficult for both of you but I am sure it is not 100% your recent diagnosis. You have had a relaxing holiday, you have returned home and you are tired of travelling. I think it takes any of us time to readjust even to our own homes. Our age also plays a part.

You know that your CH will be well looked after by us lot. If you think he may benefit that is a good idea from Synonymous.

There again if he read some of the posts he may well go screaming out of your house wondering what or who on earth you have got involved with. Please take it easy.

Izabella so sorry you are having a down day. Whenever I have those I try to realise that tomorrow I will feel better because I have to. As others say things are always strange coming back home after travelling.

Panache sorry to hear MrP is still suffering. My DH benefitted from turmeric root tablets more than the painkillers issued by the doctor. He is improving slowly and now has inserts in his shoe recommended by the osteopath. He is certainly walking much better although seems to have lost confidence where driving is concerned. He always wanted to drive but since September he has wanted me to drive all the time.

Dear Izabella you are very brave to write it all down on here and it helps us to be able to understand better. I wonder if your CH would also benefit from coming to be one of 'us lot' in soops kitchen if not now then later on maybe? It would be good for 'us lot' too as we don't have enough chaps in here. Just a thought.

Although Storm Gareth well and truly roared its way around our West coast overnight, and although still very breezy, the sun shines today and what a difference those rays bring!!!!

Your posting just shows how "the other half" sadly suffers just like the one with a disease Izabella,of course it will be a completely different feeling, but nevertheless these things do stretch out into our nearest and dearest.
I should imagine......,just like the rest of us facing our individual issues......you will have your down days my friend, but we can but sincerely hope that they will be fewer than those when your sunshine attitude floods our kitchen.
After all your travelling I would seriously think you are simply overtired right now........so give yourself a chance to pick up again.
Have no fear though, we can well cope and are ready to take the rough with the smooth, our love spreads its tentacles right around you.

Indeed Dragonfly these seperate bedrooms have helped our sleeping for sure,but neither of us really want this for the future.
This sciatica pain is a real pain,what with that, plus a groin injury and worse still,a crumbling spine - my poor man is not having a real chance to truly get on following his stroke,and sadly my Peter Pan smiling hubby is fast becoming a Victor Meldrew..........and it is not a pleasant transformation!
Thank you all for your caring.It is worrying because he really needs to get more mobile.......and this is exactly what he wishes himself.

That is good news about your son callgirl. A difficult time no doubt but hopefully with good results.
izabella it is quite possible, as willow says, that your holiday may have disoriented you for a bit. The same thing happened to my brother and it took him a while to settle home again. I can’t imagine how you must be feeling at the moment. We often hear/know of people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s but rarely get to hear about things from their point of view because for so many the diagnosis is so late that they are past the point of being aware. Many refuse to see a GP for a long time. This was so in my brothers case and his refusal to accept that anything was wrong brought great stress to my SIL. A friend has a similar situation where he thinks his wife may be having problems with her memory but she is so angry at the suggestion that she refuses to see her Doctor. Having seen the path my brother went down I do hope, if the same happens to me, that I will seek help at the earliest opportunity and take whatever I could to improve things. I think you are a brave lady for posting so openly and I for one, am grateful that you share some of your thoughts with us. I do hope my words haven’t upset you, that certainly wasn’t my intention. I do wish the best for you and your CP. Hope you have a nice time with your friend.

GD ouch indeed - I've had a very clumsy morning and just launched the pepper pot across the kitchen after getting it caught in some lighting wires!
