“Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus” to my many GN friends indeed yes the flags are flying high in Wales and there are celebrations galore for our St David`s Day.
The briefest of visits again but firstly wishing our dear Soop and stalwart, as well as dear Synonymous and your very gallant husband the very best on your very difficult missions.
I was awarded DLA for care & mobility at the highest rate as a lifetime award many moons ago;(Though some 12 years AFTER our sition had become deplorable,I was far too proud to go asking.......)) it then helped fill in the depleted savings pot and simply existing, because my husband was forced into early retirement at 55 and become my sole Carer.
He lost out of some 10 years at least of luctrative wages.
AA has often been mentioned in days passed but always bypassed.
I did reply to you earlier Kitty.......after you brought this up.
It is true Maw that we have both been far too independant and I have retained my dignity latterly rather than simply own up to how bad our situation has become.Whilst quite frankly up to latter years we were absorbed in helping and reaching out to others with life threatening disabilities, following on from my long stint in our Cancer Care Centre...........and our own situation sort of gradually worsened.
However thanks to you all for the chivvying up and pointing me.....an d us.....in the right direction, I am now going all out to get every sort of help available, whilst of course, with my own dear man truly struggling still, it is now a case of us both in need.
I can assure you Soop that positivity has been the name of the game since 1984, when this fiasco and broken health first reared its head.........I did sink deep when my dear husband........and sole Carer.......ended up with a Stroke, but I soon rallied and am fighting like a good `un for our survival!!!
Wishing you and.... all with a fight on their hands...... just the same strengths indeed.
Hospital appointment calls.............must dash.
