Are you married Mick, and have you got grandchildren?
Happy evening everybody, and have a lovely weekend.

Grammaretto Fri 22-Feb-19 12:05:08

A very late hello from the Scottish Borders where it's been mild but overcast. We can't have everything now can we.
I made the mistake of trying on clothes yesterday in town so now need to lose flab before looking in a mirror again.
I'll be on a community garden stall tomorrow which should be fun. Mostly seeds and jam.
Sorry to hear about more illnesses among GNers.
Keep smiling and doing nice things everyone.

A late Good Morning to all from a sunny east coast. Sending hugs to all who need them. I've just had a new washing machine delivered so I'm looking forward to playing with it tomorrow smile

Good morning all! Just wanted to share my joy in the blissful warm gold sunrise I saw this morning. I'm still revelling in the sight. I'm also feeling thrilled by a very particular fly-past which took place in Sheffield 0845 this morning. Very moving. Well done BBC but I feel Dan should have presented as he instigated the whole thing. I'm going to a wedding today and feel so delighted with the temperature. I had visions of coats, hats, boots and gloves when I first received the invitation. Yippee. Have a good day everyone.

Greyduster Fri 22-Feb-19 10:12:00

The fly past was brilliant. We went, with a few hundred other people, to watch it in a local park which is a high point in the city, right on the flight path. The planes came low over the trees behind us. It was actually very emotional and a fitting tribute to the Mi Amigo crew.

Mapleleaf Fri 22-Feb-19 09:56:37

Good morning.
It's a pleasant morning here at the moment, and feels quite mild here in South Yorkshire.
I bet the atmosphere around the flypast today will be brilliant, Greyduster. What a lovely, touching thing that gentleman has been doing all these years.
I had a lovely meal out last night, but it's back to normal routines today.
Hope everyone has a decent day today. ?

harrigran Fri 22-Feb-19 09:28:32

Good morning, mild but not sunny yet.
DH has started the washing while I remain in bed with a cuppa.
I can hardly believe it was 15.5 degrees yesterday when we went for a walk.

TerriBull Fri 22-Feb-19 09:25:57

Good morning from my corner of the south east which is shrouded in mist this morning, but hopefully that will burn off later. Yesterday was glorious, we had lunch by the river, a very warm day for this time of the year lots of daffs out and new shoots on surrounding trees.

Not a lot planned for today, a bit of ironing and gym later and maybe a trip to the library to get a new audio book.

Have a good day everyone and to those who are feeling under the weather, wish you better.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 22-Feb-19 09:23:27

Morning from sunny South Notts. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Auntieflo, hope all is well with one and all.

megan123 Fri 22-Feb-19 09:21:26

Good morning all. Bright and sunny here, a nice change. Have a good day everyone.

aggie Fri 22-Feb-19 09:16:29

Good Morning , warm and bright in Co Armagh . Hang in there Annie xxx

Auntieflo Fri 22-Feb-19 09:06:42

Good morning all. Have not been up to much recently. DH has been diagnosed with possible prostate problems, so yesterday had a biopsy. Also told he may be borderline diabetic. I have been feeling wobbly, so all in all, not brilliant.
Apologies to Annie and Michael, I have missed saying Good morning to you both.

Anniebach Fri 22-Feb-19 09:03:37

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Therapy today, finding it very difficult.

Hope everyone has a good day x

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 08:53:09

Good morning All x
Dry and bright with the sun undecided whether to shine or not, but nevertheless it's pleasant.
Have been watching dear old " Tony " on TV waiting for his flypast, bless him. What a difference from the rest of the news !

Hope all goes well for you dragonfly and for those involved in hospital visits.

Enjoy this drop of good weather whatever you do today.

MawBroon Fri 22-Feb-19 08:46:24

Good morning from misty N Bucks but you can tell that the sun is doing its best to break through.
Think I might potter in the garden today, I really can’t pretend it doesn’t need some attention for much longer!
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Brunette10 Fri 22-Feb-19 08:42:01

Good Morning from a grey Fife however it’s quite mild and dry. Didn’t sleep well last night hence the reason for my lateness today. Still feeling rough as is DH now. Will have another day in. Hope today is good for everyone. Going to watch Tony’s fly passed on BBC breakfast. Lovely occasion.

gillybob Fri 22-Feb-19 08:32:39

Good morning everyone . A bit of a grey and misty start this morning but promises of a lovely day . Children all going home today . They’re back on Monday night though .

Have a good Friday everyone .

ninathenana Fri 22-Feb-19 08:29:42

Morning everyone.

I can't see past the end of the garden due to fog here in Kent.
Usual Friday food shop with a coffee stop.
Have a good day everyone.

BlueSapphire Fri 22-Feb-19 08:28:43

Good morning all; it's very misty in Northampton, but have been promised a nice sunny day once it clears.
Just waiting for the DGDS to arrive. We shall probably go to Sainsbury's so they can have some chocolate fudge cake in the cafe. I have a few odds and ends to get.
You day sounds good Mick! I like the idea of fish and chips out followed by a drink! I shall probably succumb to glass of wine ? when the girls have gone home.....
Greyduster I have been hearing about that flypast on my local radio as apparently the planes were on their way back to an airbase in Northants.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

oldgaijin Fri 22-Feb-19 08:07:54

Good morning all from a bright, sunny Aberdeenshire. Am going out this evening to a crime writer's weekend talk from Abir Mukherjee who writes the most wonderful whodunnits, set in Calcutta between the two wars.
Keep smiling dragonfly...hope your treatment goes well. Been there, done it.
Have a great day everyone.

ScotinOz Fri 22-Feb-19 08:01:03

Good evening everyone from a dreich Sydney.

Went for a mammogram today. Seemed much quicker and less painful than the last time. All over in 15 minutes. Mind you, needed a coffee once it was over ?

Take care everyone

kittylester Fri 22-Feb-19 08:00:51

Morning all! We too saw a spectacular sky on our way into the hospital where DH is having a small op. He was disappointed to find he will have to stay in overnight.

Marydoll Fri 22-Feb-19 08:00:26

Good morning all from a mild Glasgow. There was a beautiful orange sky early this morning.
I agree with everyone about how, exhausting being an grandparent is, but I wouldn't change things for the world.
Our wee granddaughter brings such joy to us.
I may just potter about the garden today and tidy up some old paperwork, as my RA is very active and I have lost my ooomph! grin

Have a good day everyone.

Persistentdonor Fri 22-Feb-19 07:58:13

Thick mist today so I can't see the water, beach or park, let alone across to Brixham, but who knows, when it clears we might have lots of sunshine.
Enjoy your day everyone.

cornergran Fri 22-Feb-19 07:52:11

Morning Mick, morning All from our misty, mild corner of Somerset. Need to organise some clothes today, a task long avoided. Good luck to all with dental or medical appointments, hope Friday is kind to everyone.
