to continue where we left off......

Gonegirl Fri 22-Feb-19 19:34:31

So far as I can make out, it's mostly in her silly head.

Gonegirl Fri 22-Feb-19 19:33:48

Does lying on her back and then bearing the subsequent children actually constitute "aiding" the terrorists?

Gonegirl Fri 22-Feb-19 19:31:57

So, did this girl/woman actually have a part in the Manchester Bombing? confused

Mycatisahacker Fri 22-Feb-19 19:25:06

Well I tend to see the Manchester victims, the borough market victims and the London Bridge victims the 7:7 victims in terms of black of white.

They were once alive and now they are dead.

That’s pretty plain isn’t it. Is that simple enough to grasp?

Mycatisahacker Fri 22-Feb-19 19:22:49

Politicians need to get their act together and any one convicted of treason should be jailed for life on return to the UK.

Aiding or being a terrorist of a group that has declared war on us is treason.

Lazigirl Fri 22-Feb-19 19:21:41

I wish I could see life in such a black and white way as many posters apparently can, makes for a much simpler life.

megan123 Fri 22-Feb-19 19:09:03

Just watched the interview on TV with Jihadi Jack now wanting to come back to Britain. He misses his mum and pasties! Didn't appear to have any remorse when asked about the terrorist attacks in Paris, here etc. appeared to think it was "alright at the time", he was in prison apparently.

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 18:40:18

Yes, Jalima, I just mentioned as an example of our British law what happens to those who didn't physically murder anyone but was a party to the killings.

I think Jordan was about 16 at the time and given a life sentence.

Jalima1108 Fri 22-Feb-19 18:28:48

There is more than one category - accessory, incitement, conspiracy etc.

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 18:25:33

Jordan Cunliffe is an example who was imprisoned in 2008 for driving killers to murder Barry Newlove even though it's alleged that he had no idea of what was to happen but was still charged with murder by association.

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 18:20:28

There are people in prison as we speak who are not guilty of murder but were at the scene because they were present with the murderer and their sentences carry the same as if they had committed the murder.

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 18:15:38

Isn't being an accessory enough,trisher ?

Mycatisahacker Fri 22-Feb-19 18:04:38

There’s proof she joined a terrorist group! That should carry an equally heavy prison sentence.

trisher Fri 22-Feb-19 17:58:52

If you have proof that SB has actually killed someone would you care to post it EV?

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 17:52:58

Oh here we go------Abu Hamza's son wants to come back to the UK. If we don't take these Jihadi's back we risk a backlash ! Haven't we been having backlashes over the years for no reason ? D'oh ! These people aren't happy unless they're killing. Fact !

Welcome to soft-touch Britain !

trisher Fri 22-Feb-19 17:44:20

Talk about kick a man (or in this case a woman) when he's down. This young woman is the UK's responsibility. She was radicalised at 15 in the UK. The UK allowed her to leave for Syria. She has seen unthinkable things. She has lost babies. She is living in a refugee camp. She has just given birth. She is a UK citizen. We should take proper responsibility for her and bring her back. After all she is using valuable resources which other refugees who cannot go home need. If there are crimes she has committed she should be tried here and sentenced here. Her parents should care for the baby while she serves her sentence then she should be allowed to live peacefully with support to deal with any problems she still has and with her child.
If we begin to pick and choose who is a UK citizen and who isn't we are on a slippery slope.

Mycatisahacker Fri 22-Feb-19 17:01:32

My initial feeling was no way should she come back but if we don’t take her then we can’t really export foreign criminals from here so we have no choice.

We need to re jig the treason laws and anyone fighting or giving support to ISIS should be interned pending a trial. Keep them separate to other prisoners too.

I don’t think her child should be kept in the family. At some point she will be released and could then radicalise her son. Also unless the family are given new identities he won’t hsve a chance of s normal life.

He deserves better so like the kids of Sharon Matthews etc he should be adopted and have a new identity and start.

Iam64 Fri 22-Feb-19 16:08:46

Bluebelle is correct, these comments suggesting if SB returns she will live an easy life on benefits are just nonsense. She’ll be remanded for something, maybe joining a terrorist organisation. That may not be provable but meanwhile she’ll be in custody of some kind whilst she’s questioned and investigations take place.
Her family want to care for her child. The law says unless the child would be at risk of significant harm, that’s where the baby should be.
This is a tragedy of epic proportions. Thee have been an will be, no winners.

Oldwoman70 Fri 22-Feb-19 13:39:09

Bluebelle I think she will come back to UK and will face prosecution and possible detention. I would prefer she didn't return but I can see no other option.

As for her child, I believe her parents have asked to take him. I see no problem with this as they, like the baby, are blameless in this.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 22-Feb-19 12:34:00

Bluebelle good balanced post

BlueBelle Fri 22-Feb-19 12:31:04

Her seeming detachment and lack of empathy may be due to the brainwashing, the losing of babies at such a young age and the things she has seen even though she acted blasé about it
I don’t feel any sympathy for her she doesnt seem a very likeable person although we have no idea what has gone on in her life and I don’t think she should have any leniancy shown but I also don’t think we can just leave her stateless

I totally disagree with Urmstongran that she will live the life of Reilly on Universal Credit I think if she is brought back she will be in detention and needing long term psychological work until she is deemed ‘safe’, she will probably lose her baby to social services and also I would imagine her life will be very much in danger from some of the more radical anti-Muslims in our country

This is a very complex case and I think many people are seeing it in very black and white (and I don’t mean skin colour) terms

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 12:11:44

Their followers of heinous crimes PECS. Criminals.

Let her back and you'll have other traitors hot on her heels, you mark my words !

PECS Fri 22-Feb-19 11:58:11

EV please clarify the "they" you mean.

EllanVannin Fri 22-Feb-19 11:02:41

Tareena Shakil was about the same age as this girl when she fled to Syria taking her toddler son with her.
She was locked up here after being given a 6 year prison sentence in 2016----but obviously released and living in Birmingham.
Her father had the brass neck to kick-off about the sentence she got here but failed to realise that had she been tried anywhere else she'd have had the death penalty for treason against that country.
Since her release, her father and brother were jailed for running a crack-cocaine gang.

Charming people,aren't they ??

GrannyGravy13 Fri 22-Feb-19 10:18:56

Iam64 I agree, initially I was against her coming back to the UK, it was a “gut” reaction to her actions.

On reflection the UK is a civilised country and therefore, she should return and stand trial.
