Forget the Windsors, who would you choose for President?

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 15:19:37

Wonder if you and Lee Mack could have Hampton Court
funny place, Hampton Court, I visited it often.
There was no furniture, mine would look a bit lost in there.

We could have a game of Real Tennis, though.

Cardiff I started this thread and i suggested David Beckham , this surely shows I started this thread for light relief ?

CardiffJaguar Wed 20-Feb-19 13:18:41

Pecs, please tell me those loads of places with OK presidents. I presume you will not be listing the US.

CardiffJaguar Wed 20-Feb-19 13:16:46

Jalima1108, the joke is now clear.

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 12:36:16

Both eligible Ellan, both British ?

EllanVannin Wed 20-Feb-19 12:31:28

Timothy Vine or Steve Coogan.

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 12:18:14

Jalima take your pick, Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace,
St,James Palace, Clarence House, all state owned. You can’t have Balmoral or Sandringham sorry, the Windsors will be living there .

Wonder if you and Lee Mack could have Hampton Court ?

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 12:13:42

can I live in it with Lee Mack?

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 12:12:22

I guess the thread is really trying to take the piss out of republicans.

I don't think so!
Someone suggested me for President - that is surely not taking the p**s!

As I said to CJ, this is deadly serious.

I would like a new palace though.

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 12:08:36

As I have a life if I got another life would this mean I had a split personality ?

Nanny27 Wed 20-Feb-19 11:58:17

I cant stand being told to 'get a life'.

PECS Wed 20-Feb-19 10:56:21

I did join in lightheartedly too but you have appeared to reject ot simply ignore real possibilities!
Think it was a bit if a dig !

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 10:48:36

I thank all who have acknowledged this thread is for light relief and posted in this manner x

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 10:42:53

PECS that is untrue and uncalled for , if I wish to disagree with republicans I do so on threads where they air their views on the Windsors. Thankfully posters have joined this thread for the same reason I started it, light relief from politics, wars etc.

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 10:39:04

Sorry PECS

PECS Wed 20-Feb-19 10:38:52

Cardiff loads of places have perfectly ok Presidents!
I guess the thread is really trying to take the piss out of republicans.

PECS Wed 20-Feb-19 10:36:54

Annie you need to rrwad the post..I was not sugessting Jim AK as I know various attitudes to his Iraqi background would go against him. I was referring to the the people he interviewed recently. Not sure if

breeze Wed 20-Feb-19 10:31:43

Jalima grin

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 10:16:58

Sorry PECS thought I had replied to your post.

Jim Al-Khalili was not born in this country, I assume he has duel citizenship?

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 09:54:18

This is deadly serious CardiffJaguar

I've decided that Lee Mack is my favourite now, Huw a close-run second.

I can just see Lee entertaining other Heads of State and saying 'Would I lie to you?'

CardiffJaguar Wed 20-Feb-19 09:46:06

The OP is a joke, right? If anyone could seriously consider the UK with a president then they clearly do not know what that would entail. Get a life.

PECS Wed 20-Feb-19 08:40:18

So are you all dismissing the philanthropic scientists?

PECS Wed 20-Feb-19 08:39:21

The Boss is not apolitical either. Not sure he is over 6 foot either. Which for a short arese like me is immaterial! ?

Anniebach Wed 20-Feb-19 08:38:09

Not British sorry ,

Litlmissbuttons Wed 20-Feb-19 02:21:16

Bruce Springsteen! He's got a house over here, so he could be a part time one. I'm sure he would be quite popular!
