Lovely sunny day here in West Sussex where I’m staying with my son and family(2 girls, 5 and 8) Exciting news from my eldest daughter’s farm, much loved Lily the collie had 4 pups last night. A surprise - as the scan had not shown her as pregnant! I’m leaving it to my daughter to pass on the news to her 2 sisters - though I’d love to tell them! We will all be thinking how soon can we get there to see them!

Good morning, a litle late because I have only just got Gransnet on my computer (very late) misty, mild day here in Sweden, nothing planned for today.
Have a good one everyone.

Good morning everyone; it's a lovely sunny morning in Northampton and I am considering getting the lawnmower out and giving the front grass its first cut. Will wait until the sun gets on it and dries off the dew.

Fantastic win for us at rugby yesterday - we won 67-17! A very exciting match. It is good to see our team developing a new style of play which is reaping benefits.

Going back to Valentine's Day and the mystery roses, it appears that everyone in our close woke up to a rose on the front door handle! And at Christmas we all woke up to a bottle of Prosecco by the front door. Easter eggs at Easter next? It just gets mysteriouser and mysteriouser....there is a good fairy somewhere and no-one knows who it is.

Just going to make a bacon butty and have a coffee. Have a nice day everyone.

Nothing much planned other than roast pork and crackling for dinner.

Hopefully lazy day as Granny duty next week as half term here.

Have a restful day folks x

Good evening from Sydney. A rather hot day today....still 30 degrees at 7pm.

Had a lovely day. Met 2 friends and we went on a cruise around Sydney harbour which included a high tea with a glass of sparkling wine. Had a great time??

Take care everyone

Good to see you back gillybob, hope you are well.

Good morning everyone from a sunny (well it is 9am now I’ve finally got up!) South Manchester. Looks like another lovely day. I can see the Pennines - always a good sign!

I love this thread as it’s so nice to have a weather watch from around the country (plus the Southern Hemisphere!) and to hear about everyone’s plans for the day. I’m off to look up where La Gomera is now! Have a good day all.

Another beautiful sunny morning on the NE coast. Supermarket shopping to do today unforutunately, as its half term this coming week and I have 3 days childcare. I do hope this pleasant weather holds so I can get them all outside, they tend to go stir crazy when they are stuck inside for any length of time.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Good morning all.....

from sunny, breezy Kent. Good go have the sun back after yesterday's gloom.
Usual Sunday morning. DH is at the plot and I'm having a leisurely breakfast and reading the papers.

EllanVannin Sun 17-Feb-19 08:48:33

Good morning All x.
It did have the making of a fine day earlier but has now clouded over. Still not cold though.

For once I didn't mind being wakened last night by a helicopter overhead as I'd forgotten to soak my peas. Didn't know what time it was but I got the deed done and slunk back to bed.

Helicopter back hovering again so whatever's gone on it might be in the local paper today.

Usual roast later on with extra thrown in in case of callers.

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Will be visiting family this afternoon and bringing GD back to stay.

Sar53 Sun 17-Feb-19 08:36:49

Good morning everyone from a very sunny Essex by the sea. I'm off to stay with youngest daughter and 2 granddaughters later this morning. I'm there til Wednesday and as it's half term I'm sure we will be doing something exciting !!
I'm told a roast and crumble is on the menu for today. Will be good to see them as I haven't seen them since Christmas.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from a bright, mild Aberdeenshire. It's a wee bit windy, but another day in the garden, I think. Cleared out some old pots yesterday, ready for new compost and made another attack on the shed. Why do I save so many jam jars? Ditto flower pots?
Hope to get some pics today from daughter...the family are in Italy for half term, skiing.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning Mick and All.

Lovely bright morning in South Bucks.

Marydoll I know where your DGD gets her charm and fun from, her Gran ?

Greyduster I too will be back on the football pitch next weekend. Our eldest DGS was 8 yesterday and he scored a hat trick, he is still on cloud 9 ⛅️

Fitting in a walk this morning and watching the tennis final in Rotterdam this afternoon.

Have a good Sunday folks.

NannyJan53 Sun 17-Feb-19 08:28:18

Good Morning from a very spring like Black Country.

Yesterday was really warm and sunny, hope it lasts!

Will pop over to DD's new house today, to keep the DGD's occupied whilst she carries on sorting everything, as they moved in Friday afternoon, and her DH had to work yesterday and today (self employed). Luckily it is half term now, and as she is a teacher is at home for the week.

We had our Valentines meal last night, just the deal from M & S, but we couldn't open the bottle of Prosecco!

Roast lamb for dinner tonight.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

Grammaretto Sun 17-Feb-19 08:28:04

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The sun is shining directly in my face through the bedroom window.
Probably a lot on the agenda today but first porridge, tea and toast.
I have visitors all this week so plenty to do of company.
You astonish me MaryDoll with all you manage to fit in.
Good wishes to all especially those who are not well.

Pittcity Sun 17-Feb-19 08:24:13

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Quiet day here with roast pork for dinner.
Will potter in the garden while waiting for a new tumble dryer to be delivered.

MawBroon Sun 17-Feb-19 08:18:52

Good morning from sunny N Bucks where you could really believe Spring is springing.
In the absence of a rugby international to watch I went to see “All is True” yesterday, hoping it might be like a feature length “Upstart Crow” - both written by Ben Elton. Sad film though - not the effect I had intended but met a former colleague on the way in so we sat together and had a bit of a catch up!
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

1inamillion Sun 17-Feb-19 08:14:39

Thank you again Mawbroon ?

1inamillion Sun 17-Feb-19 08:12:10

Good Morning from a quite bright South Glam coast. Wind has died down now but kept me awake a bit in the night.

Hope your daughter feels better soon Susan and that your dgd's foot is better too Marydoll.

DS and DH going to cook up some sausages and mash later, for which I'm very grateful.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday. Enjoy your quiet day Mick.
