MissA I hope you are feeling better now. Experiences like this in the middle of the night are extremely upsetting.
I hope your DGS is also better.

I’ve also had a disturbing night maybe it was something in the air.

The early hours are the worst time for dealing with strong emotions. I've decided to get up and deal with mine as lying in the dark thinking is not productive for me. So I got up and made a cup of tea and am now reading some GN posts and feeling calmer. I'll PM the name of a herbal cure for panicky feelings which always calms me down.

Hope your grandson feels a lot better in the morning. What a nasty bug he seems to have poor boy. Sounds like you both need some tlc.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandson and your surreal experience MissAdventure.

His sickness will pass but you'll have to manage the other thing very differently.
If by any chance you'd like to PM me, I'll do what I can to help as I've had similar experiences myself - and of course it will be totally confidential.
With all kindest regards flowers flowers flowers

Oh dear - it never rains, but it pours. Hopefully your grandson will need a bit of a sleep-in after his disturbed night and you might catch an extra few minutes yourself.

MissAdventure Sun 17-Feb-19 03:00:07

Thank you, again.
My grandson isn't well, so no chance of a lie in.
He's been being sick every hour or so all through the night: all over the floor, the bed and himself the first few times!
Then, just when I thought things were calming down 'the other thing' happened.

It takes time to process events outside our norm, especially those that involve the emotions and generate strong feelings. My advice would be not to shy away from the experience, but to give yourself opportunities to think about what's happened and make what sense of it you can. Hope you're able to find peace enough to get a few hours sleep - and have a lie in tomorrow.

MissAdventure Sun 17-Feb-19 02:39:26

Ah, thank you.
I have had a frightening, emotional, physically difficult and very, very sad experience.
It will stay with me forever, I think.

grannyactivist Sun 17-Feb-19 02:37:17

I'm sorry MissA - it seems as if you've had a sad and discomfiting experience. Sending you warm thoughts - and I did just say a sneaky little prayer for you too, can't do any harm eh? The wee sma' hours can pass very slowly sometimes. flowers

Thank you for responding.

You should be in bed, asleep!

Oh dear MissA.You had your surreal experience earlier, or in the wee small hours? Surreal happenings are always a jolt. I have had a few but night time is a difficult time to process them. I hope you are able to get some time to relax and sleep tomorrow ( or rather today, when dawn breaks.)

Sorry I can't be of much help but I do hope you have someone to talk with about what happened soon, if you are able to confide that is.

My surreal experiences shook me and mystified me initially. Later I found lots of comfort in them. I hope that happens to you too.

MissAdventure Sun 17-Feb-19 02:01:20

Nowhere that isn't shared elsewhere on gransnet, and nobody to tell, but I have just had a surreal experience.
I can't tell, not because it would possibly identify me, but out of respect for the people involved. sad
