Hello all, good wishes etc.

Well, what it says up there ^, that's all I really wanted to say.

I really think it's time you all started to act your ages.............or maybe you are!

Act your shoe size, not your age!

I'm six - nah nah da nah nah

Charleygirl5 Sat 16-Feb-19 16:46:25

Buffybee so so sorry but I had to go for a lie down in a darkened room having strayed on to another thread. I am well aware I am an ill informed idiot but I do not have to be reminded!!!!

I then went to Waitrose and although I am partially sighted I do not qualify for a guide dog yet so your little darling stayed with you. I did not want to tie her up outside because somebody may well have stolen her and I am in enough trouble it would appear.

an opinion

(been at the poteen already, sorry!)

Jalima1108 Sat 16-Feb-19 16:38:53

where everyone behaves appropriately to the whim of the OP
ffin - it's not always the OP, in fact not usually the OP - someone posts and opinion then along comes someone who is opinionated , trying to control the thread!

Frothing poteen sounds good - although this thread keeps making me mutter an evening prayer about lightening the darkness.

PECS Sat 16-Feb-19 16:37:46

OK Lemon I am popping in.. tentatively! hmm

lemongrove Sat 16-Feb-19 16:26:14

I am inviting all of you over to The Argy Bargy Bar, where I am setting up pints of frothing poteen ( homemade of course) free to those who lighten the dark threads and those who darken the light threads and the many shades of grey inbetween .After a few, we shall all be good friends.wine

Buffybee Sat 16-Feb-19 15:22:34

Where's Charleygirl????
She was supposed to be looking after my little dog ?!
And she's just turned up full of lipstick ? ?? kiss marks all over her fur.

PECS Sat 16-Feb-19 15:22:05

Will there be music?

Doodle Sat 16-Feb-19 15:15:01

Isn’t a jolly ‘nonsense’ thread a delight to have. ?.
phoenix you come up with some corkers. We should have one more often to lighten the spirits.
Bags I sit next to galen so I can share her goodies. Nothing like a good gherkin! ?

LadyGracie Sat 16-Feb-19 14:53:34

I’d bring olives, some crusty bread and no end of bottles of Port!

storynanny Sat 16-Feb-19 13:52:07

None of the threads on here are like mumsnet ones! Very brave if you post on one of those.
I thought I was helping on a phonics thread once ( infant teacher for 40 years) but got shot down in flames by a very fierce young teacher!

Galen Sat 16-Feb-19 13:49:53

Can I come bearing gherkins, wacky baccy and vodka jellies?
What happened to the cat/dog Donald with his burned nether regions?

Tweedle24 Sat 16-Feb-19 13:46:48

Maw, PECS ?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 16-Feb-19 13:39:05

Fishpieplease I love Henning Wehn ???

Charleygirl5 Sat 16-Feb-19 13:16:16

Yummy GG is there any space for one more and please may I bring a doggy bag because I may well fancy a (toasted) sandwich later on this evening.

I am not sure if an earworm would be allowed in. Admittedly if it moved my cat would dive on to it so end of.

bikergran Sat 16-Feb-19 13:09:59

googling Gravadlax

Fishpieplease Sat 16-Feb-19 13:00:59

This thread is so uplifting. Thank you all. May I add an ear worm to the frivolity? Saw the wonderful German Ambassador of comedy,Henning Wehn recently. He had a chant of “Get on with it” running through the show. Although it was a reference to the dreaded Brexit,I find myself repeating it whenever I feel inpatient. Nice to be able to say that without fear of snide comment.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 16-Feb-19 12:59:21

Good morning all just back from Aldi, they had Gravadlax on special so I bought the whole box.

I am hiding from lots of people including Mr.GG13 who wants to go car shopping!! I have not got any indoor pets to bring with me, but have tied up my horse to the gate post.

Charleygirl5 Sat 16-Feb-19 12:50:15

I agree LadyGracie- I had my head bitten off recently for asking what to do with a coat somebody left here nearly 6 months ago. Somebody else had their comment deleted, unbelievable.

This post will be classed as stupid by many- fine by me.

LadyGracie Sat 16-Feb-19 12:42:55

I think some on Gransnet are darn right nasty, particularly if one has differing opinions.

I read but only occasionally comment and when I do, I seem to shut the thread down, I’m more often than not the last comment.

I do enjoy some lighthearted banter or humour.

Doodle Sat 16-Feb-19 12:34:37

The sort of sun bed I meant was really just a comfy lounger (can be indoors really). I am the furthest thing from a sun worshiper you can imagine (pasty faced whatever the temperature) but I do like a relaxing lounger. I may just nod off.?? will someone please wake me when the gentlemen arrives ...with or without his relish.?

Charleygirl5 Sat 16-Feb-19 12:07:42

I never did find Pendle Hill. My geography is rubbish and my sat nav took me to a forest in Wales.

glammanana Sat 16-Feb-19 10:37:02

biker I missed Pendle Hill I think I got lost flying over the M6 and had to call the RAC to get me home again.

bikergran Sat 16-Feb-19 10:33:52

pheonix I feel a "Virtual party" coming on behind your sofa.
