I worked with a young woman, who proudly told us 'I don't cook', I think she ate mainly oven chips, chicken nuggets etc.

She came back after maternity leave, and mentioned one day she gave the baby Cadburys Smash! We all looked aghast! shock

I have 6 wooden boards and 4 glass 'surface protectors' aka chopping boards.

I bought my first one at the ripe old age of 73.

Maybe it was for her husband/partner!

Well we've got 6. Some nice firm ones and some plastic ones. Sadly from what I've seen on TV a lot of people don't cook nowadays.

Hello all, good wishes to you.

Listening to Radio 4, as I always do, and there was a feature that was partly about people buying things on line on impulse.

The person that made me go shock was a young sounding woman, who said that she had bought a chopping board, no problem with that I thought, until she said "And I don't cook!"

Pretty sure I could hear a baby or small child in the background, made me wonder on to counts, firstly, what on earth do they eat, and secondly, surely every kitchen needs a chopping board at some point?
