muffin people have to accept their behaviours and attitudes might not be appealing to everyone.. celeb or not! e.g. If a person chooses to shoot their mouth off in a state of drunkeness and causes offence..they have to take the consequences!

I agree re commenting on face lifts etc rather than natural features which is unkind.

I think commenting on choices people have made..e.g face lifts, over bronzing etc. is different to commeting a natural feature.

I think I know who you mean, PECS, and it drives us crazy too. Fortunately, don't watch the programme where the offending word occurs so often, but there are at least 2 others where 'thahsands' pops up.

We probably shouldn't but we do - maybe it's just part of the human condition to judge. We tend to understand people who are more like ourselves but not others. I try not to be unkind but I know I have been in the past. We're all the same under the skin after all.

Middle class manners have all but disappeared. It used to be the rule that personal comments were vulgar but in these days of broadcasting the thoughts of ninnies to the nation via social media older people have forgotten ‘the code’ and younger persons never taught it.

Not only do those who criticise the looks of others risk appearing like Yahoos but their increasingly vicious comments slide into the realms of bullying and intimidation.

I have read the recent news stories of nasty comments made online about the Duchess of Sussex with great distaste. Being married to an ex editor and publisher I know that many comments would count as libel (were the royal family to sue - which they never do). Even were it not so, the commenters surely say more about themselves and their upbringing than about their victims, with their ascerbic and ill natured posts.

What will happen to us if we do not use the proper name?

Surely the Duchess of Cambridge, whose maiden name was Catherine Middleton, should be addressed by her correct name.

I'm not overly keen on certain women in the public eye who overdo the surgery and end up looking like a Jessica Rabbit caricature and give those who are susceptible to trying to obtain an ideal (not in my book) an unrealistic view of what they think they ought to look like. Katie Price springs to mind I think if she hadn't mucked about with her face and body as much as she has, she'd look okay.

I think some of us will admit to finding voices on certain c'lebs irritating Stacey Dooley won me over on Strictly, but I find her voice very grating. Also Russell Brand, but that's more to do with his grammar, I remember on QT I heard him refer to "them politicians"

Surely if we are being rude about someone on tv, for whatever reason, it's ok if we are in our own living rooms? Mind you my daughter tells me off if she hears me saying that I don't like someone on telly because I find their face annoying! Trouble is there are so many who come into that category..........Moi easily irritated, noooooooo!!
