Good morning from snowy North Yorkshire. Heavy snowfall last evening while I was at the village quiz. Fortunately it was just a short walk home. Quiet day today.
Stay safe and warm everyone.

Good morning all from a snowy Aberdeenshire. At last, the snow has hit us but there's not enough to say that we are snowed in. I think we are more used to copeing with nasty white stuff than some further South.
Shall continue with cupboard cleaning out today in readiness for clearing a shelf for dog food etc. when my hairy lodger comes for his extended stay.
I enjoyed the rugby last night, but neither the French or Welsh teams could be described as bonny! Let's see what Scotland can do today.
Have a warm, safe day everyone.

Good morning all, what a lovely friendly thread this is (I’m new). We have some snow here, left over from Thursday, nothing serious. Today the sick elm tree comes down, such a shame, but it will be firewood next year or the year after. I’m going to skype with DS in HongKong, new DGD due Valentines Day. Enjoy your day, go carefully.

Good morning all.
Currently -1 in Stockport, traces of Wednesday's snow still lingering but a clear blue sky and very sunny.
Nothing to do today but a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon so I can eat well for a couple of weeks if the weather stays cold.

Good Evening all Sickies; Lovely 36C today as forecast; 39C tomorrow!
Take care! Don't do any As over Apex; they never look elegant! blush

Morning all from a very snowy, icy Hampshire.
Due to go to a craft session this am, but really do not like driving in these road conditions.
Have a safe day and take care

Good morning, from a reasonably bright Wiltshire. Hoping the huge amounts of snow, we had yesterday disperses soon. Six Nations Championships started yesterday, so I will be a rugby widow for the next few weeks. Invitations out and to us will all be juggled according to the fixtures??

Greyduster Sat 02-Feb-19 08:29:17

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire, but it snowed in the night so we have a good covering. DS has cancelled his visit for lunch and football and DH is not risking the drive to the ground either. He will watch the rugby instead. So another quiet day in store. Have a safe day folks.

Morning all from a very cold North Leicestershire.

Nothing to do today - doesn't happen often - so I plan a day of reading the papers and watching the tv.

Happy birthday to Leo, kate! It is DD1's birthday today. I'm shock that she is 44!

Enjoy your run dragonfly - watch out underfoot.

Good morning all.

It rained all day in my part of Kent yesterday. I haven't seen snow but Bluebell Hill and Detling Hill not far away had many cars stuck for hours due to snow.
DD has gone to Lincolnshire this morning and has to pass that way.
DH will be watching rugby this afternoon and I will have one eye on the game and one on my jigsaw.
Stay safe.

Good morning from a cold, damp, grey Colchester.
Grandchildren are staying tonight so I need to get some shopping and make up beds.
Lovely news Susan56party

Morning All

No snow still in Norfolk. It looks as if we’ve been deprived of it this time. Because of dire warnings I’d rearranged my week which made things a bit hectic at times and was prepared for a day in yesterday as we should have been snowed in with icey conditions according to the warnings in the local rag. Nothing!

Still it means DD2 and family will be coming to lunch today and there’s a farmers market in town with a jazz band playing and all will be wonderfully normal!

harrigran Sat 02-Feb-19 08:08:28

Good morning from a snowy NE, we had quite a fall late last night and that lay on the earlier snow. I can hear the neighbour clearing a path to the car while I am having my cup of tea in bed.
DH will be going for his newspaper shortly but I fear it may take him a while to get off the estate.

DoraMarr Sat 02-Feb-19 08:08:08

Good morning Micheal and everyone from a beautifully sunny Birmingham, with no sign of frost or snow. My sister is coming to visit me today! We don’t see much of each other, so it will be lovely to catch up. We’re planning to have lunch out with whoever of my children is free.

Good Morning from a bright but frosty Black Country. No snow here so far.

Today we are painting woodwork in the kitchen ready for the floor tiles being laid next week.

My cousin does Park Run Dragonfly and she is addicted, so be warned smile Congratulations on your happy news Susan56 flowers

Have a lovely day everyone.

Good Morning.
A little frost here on Welsh Bristol Channel coast. The sky is clear with a lovely sunrise.
What lovely news Susan56 ?
Watched the rugby last night, quite a match in dreadful weather.
Enjoy your day out Michael and have a good day everyone.

megan123 Sat 02-Feb-19 08:01:43

Good morning all. Snow still here in the hills but no fresh fall but it so so cold and there is ice everywhere. I took my little dog out yesterday and it was so bad underfoot, although he thoroughly enjoyed it!
Keep warm and safe everyone.

Urmstongran Sat 02-Feb-19 07:56:46

Good morning everyone from a milder South Manchester. The sky looks gorgeous streaked with yellows and pinks over the Pennines. All the snow has cleared apart from a few clumps here and there to remind us how it was.
Seeing the grandchildren this afternoon.

Susan56 Sat 02-Feb-19 07:54:10

Good Morning everyone. Not quite as cold today here in Fife, just dull looking with a scattering of snow on the ground. Feeling more myself today thank goodness, hope the sick bug is now away. Have some shopping to do today so will just get on with that and anything else I feel up to. Hope you all have a good Saturday - take care.

travelsafar Sat 02-Feb-19 07:46:12

We had fresh snow during the night but not too much thank goodness.
Planning on a walk into town to meet my sister for coffee pick up a few bits and go to the library.
Am out this evening for meal with my bowling club so just praying there will be no more snow, just hate driving in it.

Marydoll Sat 02-Feb-19 07:42:24

Good morning all from cold Glasgow. The great news is it's 1 degree after yesterday's -7.
I have to go out early, but I (well actually DH) was dreading scraping the car. Surprise, the ground still has traces of snow, but no frosty windscreens. grin

I am going to visit M&S to discuss a £7 overcharge on my shopping. My own fault, as I should have checked my receipt, before I left the shop.

We are off to see War Horse, tonight a gift from my son, but it will all depend on the weather.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

tiredoldwoman Sat 02-Feb-19 07:35:09

Good morning from a snowy St.Andrews . It looks pretty looking out but I'm dreading going out in it later !
Chips in the snow sounds great , Nankate !

cornergran Sat 02-Feb-19 07:29:38

Morning Mick, morning All from a very cold corner of Somerset. Little snow left but a lot of ice. Mr C still has lurgy, must get him into town to collect his new glasses this afternoon, no plans other than that. Stay safe everyone, hope Saturday is kind to you.

NanKate Sat 02-Feb-19 07:28:11

Morning Gaga

My grandsons live near the south Coast, Brighton, and they will both be playing football this morning. I do hope my DS wraps them up well. Little Leo is 6 today so a visit to the Aquarium is planned and then a meal that includes CHIPS ?
