Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and its been snowing here in brackley during the night ,as per the forecast.
Shopped yesterday , but would like to get out today as well, hopefully the bus disruption if any is not bad locally.

Good morning everyone from a very wet Essex by the sea. No snow but torrential rain all night. Off to the Solicitors this morning to change our wills now that we are married. Then I need to do some food shopping before making lasagne for dinner. Wish I didn't have to go out but needs must. Be careful out there everyone.

Greetings all from a very frosty Aberdeenshire...It's too cold for snow and -8 last night. Had a surprise chat with grandkids early as their school in Bucks is closed, so I have to hunt out family memorabilia for his WW1 project. Whoopee, six nations starts today so, at last, something good to watch on TV. Don't know what's for tea tonight so shall stir the freezer around and see what comes to the surface!
Have a safe day everyone.

We had quite a heavy fall of snow during the night here in letchworth. My Garden looks lovely!!! lol. Not venturing out today will snuggle down indoors catch up on some tasks and listen to an audio book or watch a film later.

What ever anyone is doing if you go out today take care.

Marydoll Fri 01-Feb-19 08:29:46

It is now -9 degrees in Glasgow!!!! Too cold to go out and scrape the car! Brrrrrrr!❄⛄

MawBroon Fri 01-Feb-19 08:29:13

Good morning all!
We have snow - a bit more than Bluesapphire’s “dusting” up the road in Northampton, but perhaps you’ve had more in the meantime too.
Going to “Winterreise” at The Stables tonight, but could have done without the “special effects”!
Wishing you all a pleasant day. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

Good morning Mick and everyone.
We have a light dusting of snow and a bitingly cold wind, the main problem is ice. DS called in on his way to work to drop the dog off and said not to go out as it is so slippery.

The dog is 5 today and I've just sung Happy Birthdaday to her ?? She did not look impressed.
Not going to do much today but think I'll make some Welsh Cakes. Looking forward to watching Wales v France later.
Have a good day.

Good morning from a grey, damp Colchester. I much prefer the frost and sunshine that we had yesterday.
As it's now February we are having prosecco tonight to celebrate having achieved a dry January wine

cornergran Fri 01-Feb-19 08:18:39

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey, snow covered corner of Somerset. Snow is sliding on the conservatory roof so with luck won’t last although schools are closed and refuse collections suspended. Our buses are struggling apparently with some routes cancelled, hope you do better Mick. No need to go out so I probably won’t. Mr C has lurgy and looks to be on his second bed bound day. Stay safe everyone, hope Friday is kind to you.

Marydoll Fri 01-Feb-19 08:13:56

Good morning Mick and all. It's -7 degrees here in Glasgow and pretty cold.

No childminding today for us, so it's a housework and LIDL day. We are off out early, so that we can ahve the rest of the day at home. I'm so looking forward to some me time.

I will have to drive, as my car is being used so little nowadays that my battery needs a boost. sad

Take care on the roads folks.

Morning all from a snowy County Durham. Yes it finally came so no dancing for me this morning. Such a shame as the class really cheers up my Friday.
DD 2 rang at 8.45 last night on her way home from school. Ofsted are coming in today so I can imagine what a disturbed night she will have had. Keeping my fingers crossed for her today as she works so very hard and is such a perfectionist.
Kitchen delivery is expected today too so there is enough to keep us busy along with DH newly designed and constructed bird table. I hope they like it.
Keep safe and warm everyone.

megan123 Fri 01-Feb-19 08:00:39

Good morning all. Snow still on the hills, I doubt it will be going anywhere soon. Very slippy underfoot.
Take care everyone, keep warm and safe.

harrigran Fri 01-Feb-19 07:59:33

Good morning from a cold NE. It snowed last night but I was woken by hailstones on the roof this morning.
Think it will be a stay at home day.

ninathenana Fri 01-Feb-19 07:57:46

Morning everyone.

No snow in Kent despite the 100% chance forecast.
Dora DH and both children have played rugby. I read the rule book when I first met DH. I enjoy watching a good game.
Food shop this morning, I hope the panic buyers have left something to buy.
Have a good day, stay safe everyone.

dragonfly46 Fri 01-Feb-19 07:55:11

Good morning all.

Will go and see Mum today and pop into Sainsburys for the things I forgot yesterday.

ScotinOz Fri 01-Feb-19 07:52:34

Good evening everyone from a much cooler Sydney.

Went to the movies today with a friend to see Mary Queen of Scots. I loved the movie but am now homesick for Scotland ?

Take care everyone.

Sallyann51 Fri 01-Feb-19 07:52:11

Good morning all
Just getting light here in Surrey and a light covering of snow everywhere. Looks very cold,
Table tennis later this morning which is always fun, hope the roads are ok.
Keep safe and warm everyone.

NanKate Fri 01-Feb-19 07:48:46

Morning MIck and All.

Have a safe journey Kitty. Is there a race course at Market Harborough ? That is the only thing I know about that place.

A couple of inches snow here in South Bucks.

Cooking Spaghetti Bol to take to the boys next weekend, then starting on clearing out my wardrobe. I wonder if I will actually do the clearing I am always promising myself that I will and then I don’t. ?

Esther1 Fri 01-Feb-19 07:42:03

Good Morning. Our first snow of the season here in Surrey. It’s actually not very heavy and the road is clearing already. The local schools have closed anyway so grand daughter will be with me today for a ‘Snow Day’.

Willow10 Fri 01-Feb-19 07:41:28

Good morning all. A light snowfall in East Northants and it feels a bit milder than yesterday. The traffic seems to be moving ok anyway. Ten pin bowling with U3A this morning, once the car is defrosted. Keep safe and warm.

Day6 Fri 01-Feb-19 07:37:45

Good morning all. It's a cold morning and I notice there is a hard frost on the garden and cars.

Have had breakfast and we are just about to set off down the motorway to look after grandson who is poorly and cannot go to school today. Hope it's not too slippery out there. Daughter is supposed to be having a roofer come out to replace the ridge tiles today. I wonder if they get up on roofs in this sort of weather? I certainly wouldn't fancy it, but they are made of stronger stuff!

Have a good day everyone. Keep warm, whatever you're up to.

DoraMarr Fri 01-Feb-19 07:35:45

Debating, that’s more my sport! Well done!

NannyJan53 Fri 01-Feb-19 07:34:45

Good Morning from a cold and dark Black Country, but no snow!

Had a lovely lunch in Birmingham yesterday, but it was so cold travelling there and back.

Today, I am catching up on Admin...sorting out car insurance etc. Then have appointment at Building Society this afternoon.

I have never understood Rugby, or Cricket DoraMarr, football just about (except for the offside rule) smile

Very proud of my 10 year old DGD today, she has been selected to take part in a debating competition.

Have a good day everyone.

DoraMarr Fri 01-Feb-19 07:22:38

Good morning from Birmingham, where it is still dark. It looks quite mild outside- no snow or frost. To the hospital this morning- five more to go. I’m having my hair cut afterwards, then my partner is coming for lunch. I won’t see him this weekend because he will be watching the six nations rugby thing. Despite being married to a rugby player for thirty years, and now with another rugby fan, I still don’t understand it.
