We should be so lucky ! What about Chicago where those who have to go out to work will struggle through deadly temperatures of -45 degrees. ?
We just have a dusting and everything comes to a halt.!

Sorry for the cynicism but a helicopter hovering overhead at 4am this morning got on my wick and the cats were up and about as was I and couldn't get back to sleep in case I overslept because of workmen coming.

I am a wimp! Due to go visiting a relative yesterday and I cancelled because there was promise of snow later in the day and didn't want to travel home in snow. BUT there was NO SNOW!!
harrigran your dad's comments about where you live really made me smile smile

NO snow in Melton Mowbray - off to golf!

Snow here in Dorset, was quite thick and left a covering of about an inch when I woke at 6am. It did stop for a while but started again although much finer so may change to rain.

We have not had the promised snow. My father used to describe, where I live, a whole overcoat colder than the rest of town.

Might get a chance to try out my new snowboots. I bought them last winter but we had no snow, so never wore them.

Where I am the temperature is in the low to mid 30s. You reckon it's cold and I reckon it's hot; neither of us is massively comfortable. The thing is that it is what it is.

Yes snow here too in Lancashire. This part (west) doesn't always get it when forecast or even reported but we did have lots last year in March. Sadly on Sunday, a very nice day, I went out for a walk and slid down a muddy bank spraining my ankle so have to sit with foot elevated now ouch ouch ouch so no snowballs or snowmen for me! sad

Last year we had snow at the end of Feb start of March. Friend in Lincolnshire was snowed in last year.

You and me both must be boring MissAdventure
I started a snow thread in excitement of snow last weeksmile. So you're in good (not boring)company!
I'm just on M25 North London.
It's snowing again here.

No snow here.....yet! It’s forecast for tomorrow though. I’m on the south coast.

What? In Britain? In January? Who'da thunk it! grin

For once, my neck of the woods, NE Scotland, has the best weather forecast in the UK, with no weather warnings for us. My son in the US, though, is anticipating temperatures of minus 18 during the day tomorrow! shock Remind me never to visit him in winter. wink

At the risk of this being the most boring thread of the day, and possibly the year; its snowing hard outside.
