Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but looks dry and frosty here in brackley , will do my usual day out to Buckingham and Bicester .
If the forecast is accurate tonight could see a downfall of snow ,and therefore disrupt plans for the rest of the week.
My 3 holiday breaks secured yesterday for later in the year, the person who does them was flooded with customers and queuing to be served , especially with a single room booking it was a case of an early book, as he has only so many slots of single rooms, no supplement by the way.
Mick

Language! Bluesapphire ! grin

Morning all.

Grey day in Kent. Food shop today, not much else planned. Sounds like coffee with a friend will be cancelled tomorrow due to the weather. As I would have to negotiate a notoriously bad steep hill. Shame, as we don't get together very often.
Be careful out there.

MawBroon Tue 29-Jan-19 08:30:08

Duh! blush
Let’s try that again
“Mum predeceased my father...etc”

If I had a brain, I reckon I’d be dangerous grin

Hell everyone; dry and frosty in Northampton, but heavy rain forecast for this evening turning to snow. Will not be going out!
Cleaning day for me, bathroom needs doing, kitchen floor and change the bed. Really should stir myself and make a start but a cat has just made herself comfortable on my lap and she's lovely and warm!
Hope everyone has a good day.

Urmstongran Tue 29-Jan-19 08:26:52

Maw if your father predeceased your mum he couldn’t have been at her funeral too?? Confused.com

Urmstongran Tue 29-Jan-19 08:24:22

Sorry dragonfly .... 46 not 48! User names with numbers do seem unnecessary. dragonfly itself is a great user name!

MawBroon Tue 29-Jan-19 08:23:33

“And poorlinesses”

MawBroon Tue 29-Jan-19 08:23:13

Good morning all.
1inamillion a hard day ahead for you and all the family but thinking about it, how much sadder to see one elderly parent bereaved after a long long marriage. My father predeceased my mum by 5 years and seeing him at her funeral broke my heart. He really didn’t want t go on afterwards. Thinking of you. Sincere sympathy to all with aches andpoolinesses (especially toothache - age’s revenge) .
I have remembered just in time that friends are coming over for lunch at the pub in the village so just have to hope my Ocado order (2-3pm) is not early ?
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Urmstongran Tue 29-Jan-19 08:21:57

Morning everyone from a dry & mild South Manchester. I can see an orange glow coming up from behind the Pennines - the sky over there looks beautiful.

dragonfly48 I’m curious about where you are having the cleaner fitted?!

Kate63 my favourite series at the moment is Cold Feet. The actors in it are brilliant. I watched it on catch up last night and Fay Ripley who plays Jenny was superb - I cried it was so moving.

DH making chilli for dinner tonight. We will come home to eat it after we are back from taking our grandson for his swimming lesson. I hope it doesn’t snow till we get home!

Good morning all. Snow fell last night on the hills here although it has stopped now. Take care everyone and keep warm.

Good morning all from the Durham area. Grey clouds but not much of the white stuff for us although very cold. DGC day 2. We may venture off to a gym class with them to run off their energy. It was a joy to watch them running happily among the gravestones yesterday. Such a lovely feeling that I had brought them close to the resting place of my grandparents, parents and sisters. The cycle of life.
Have a happy day everyone.

Morning All from a dark cold wet Armagh , we were forecast snow , but it is rain that is bucketing down ! I dread snow and frost in case I slip , so it usually means I am afraid to go out . Oh well it is warm and cosy indoors , roll on Spring smile

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. No sign of frost or snow here yet.
This and that today. Must replenish the hot drinks as all the varieties seem to be disappearing fast.

Good Morning everyone from a warmer, snowy part of Cheshire. It's not snowing now and not much fell but looks pretty. It's a bit warmer today too. Going for a swim this morning as a change from the gym then home to ironing. Still watched the latest episode of Madam Secretary last night, just love this series! Anyone else have a favourite series?
Have a good day everyone

Morning all from the Scottish Borders. No snow yet. I'm going on a planned walk today so had better wrap up.
The bird table needs replenishing.
Poor sufferers of toothache and sickness. Get well very soon.

Gagagran Tue 29-Jan-19 07:40:23

Feeling grim so taking a break from GN until I beat this lurgy.

Marydoll Tue 29-Jan-19 07:36:34

Good morning Mick and all, I was awakened by an early morning phone call from DS to say DGD can't go to nursery, due to the heavy snowfall. confused.
We do indeed have snow, so we may have a wee overnight visitor!
After a day of the winter vomiting bug, I'm a tad fragile, but that is what grandparents are for, isn't it? smile.
Good to hear you manged to get your trips successfully booked, Mick.
I tried to post a photo of the snow, but it was too dark. I shall return later, once I have made the pancakes, DGD has insisted on having for breakfsat.
Take care today, everyone.

Willow10 Tue 29-Jan-19 07:36:17

Good morning all. Cold and frosty in East Northants. Doing some paint jobs indoors and a bit of sewing for granddaughter today. I guess the weather will dictate the rest of the week! Keep warm everyone!

NanKate Tue 29-Jan-19 07:35:39

Good morning Mick and All.

Back after 3 nights of fun and games with the 2 DGSs. It’s lovely to be sleeping back in our own bed.

Very cold in South Bucks. It’s making my skin dry and itchy must lather on the Sudocreme..

Off to stock up the larder (wish we really had one) and buy some new trews before the snow arrives tonight. We might even have a toasted sarnie at M & S, we know how to live dangerously in this neck of the woods ?.

Nannytopsy Tue 29-Jan-19 07:28:18

Good morning to Mick and those who followed. Woken up with toothache which is now hurting for several teeth either side of the offender - an abscess I suspect. I have an appointment tomorrow ?. Photography class today. Guessing our assignment may photos of snow later in the week!

dragonfly46 Tue 29-Jan-19 07:12:55

We too are having a light fitted this morning and the cleaner.

Going for a dinner tonight for Women’s Aid.
