Vintage toy car

Tonka made a few versions of vehicles with a clutch and so that’s what I think it might have been.

Don't remember that car but I loved Donnas. We still call big yellow earth moving type things 'Tonkas'.

You just brought back happy memories of my son playing with his dinosaur cars. They were purple and blue, and had a dinosaur sticking out of the top. He pushed the dinosaur down an d the car sped off across the floor. He loved them and called them Tom and Mary.

kitty My son's had all the Tonka trucks and played with them for years passed on to my DGSs when they where small.They have been well used and are now going to be passed on to my GGS this year.

I bought our GGS his first Porche on Saturday ?
50p in a charity shop.

The Tomy ones are similar. We had these about 30 years ago.

The Tomy ones are more similar than the Tonkas. It was possibly a Fisher Price? I remember that thick white plastic they used. You pushed down the driver and the doors opened. Then they'd close one by one, the driver popped up and they whizzes off. Definitely a crawler/toddler toy, I can remember my son banging his head when he tried to follow the car under the sofa!
