ninathenana Thu 24-Jan-19 08:21:09

Great to "see" you Mick
Morning everyone.

Thick frost here in Kent. We're going to my cousins this afternoon she and I will be having a cuppa and a natter. The men will be sorting some stuff in the garage.
Have a good day everyone.

Mapleleaf Thu 24-Jan-19 08:19:59

Good morning all,
Nice to see you back Mick and pleased to hear your computer is sorted.
Welcome to GrandmainOz and Esther1 and any other recently joined newbies.
Goodness, those temperatures in Australia are incredibly hot - too hot for me, I’m afraid.
Here it’s minus 1 C at the moment and very frosty. We haven’t, as yet, got the bright blue skies of yesterday, there’s a bit more cloud about for now, but the sun is starting to get through,
Having new interior doors fitted today, so just clearing bits and pieces out of cupboards to clear the way a bit. (Some of the new doors are cupboard doors).
Hope they don’t make too much mess!

Good Morning to everyone and especially to Mick, welcome back! It's cold here in Fife but not as cold as yesterday. Later up today due to a very busy day yesterday with DGS's but it was all good fun. I hope everyone is feeling good and you all have a good day whatever you are doing.

Greyduster Thu 24-Jan-19 08:13:46

Thank the Lord and bless the congregation! Good morning, Michael! Good to have you back!
It is very cold in South Yorkshire, but dry at the moment. Rain is forecast for later. School run for us this afternoon and then we are going out for a meal to celebrate DD’s birthday. Have a good day, folks.

megan123 Thu 24-Jan-19 08:13:45

Good morning everyone. Snow still here on the hills and very foggy. Seems a bit warmer. Take care everyone.

cornergran Thu 24-Jan-19 08:09:34

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey looking, frost free, corner of Somerset. Good to see you back mick, computers eh? No idea what I’ll do today other than send a complaint about a broken electrical item. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Gymstagran Thu 24-Jan-19 08:04:15

Good morning all. Weather same as NannyJan53, we are not too far from each other. Early morning gym session done. Now coffee, shower and ironing to come.

Marydoll Thu 24-Jan-19 07:58:17

Good morning all and especially Mick. You were sorely missed Mick. It's -1 here in Glasgow, which I suppose its quite good, compared to earlier in the week.

A sleepless night, but I have nothing planned, so I will just potter about.

I have trousers to take up for DH and pick up DGD from nursery, after collecting DH from the station. I'm looking forward to staying in!

Have a good day, everyone.

Pittcity Thu 24-Jan-19 07:57:43

Good morning from a very frosty Colchester. Welcome back Mick, we have missed you.
I've missed a couple of days in bed with the lurgy but need to pull myself together and go to my DGS's birthday tea after school.

TerriBull Thu 24-Jan-19 07:54:28

Good morning all from the south east I'm looking at the most amazing pink streaked sky it's just wonderful, albeit a cold day with a thick frost.

Not a lot planned today but will be going to see Stan and Ollie tonight so looking forward to that.

Have a good day all.

1inamillion Thu 24-Jan-19 07:41:03

Good Morning Mick and everyone. Cold but not as cold as yesterday in South Glam.

Having a cup of tea and hoping to have a cwtchy day today. Need to finish my book before U3a Book Club tomorrow, it's been a struggle.
DS's dog being dropped off soon, the groomers are picking her up from here and will return her later as they are working. She's our therapy dog.

DoraMarr Thu 24-Jan-19 07:36:52

Hooray! Micheal is back! Good morning from a damp and dark Birmingham. It doesn’t feel cold, but then I haven’t ventured out yet. I will have my usual appointment this morning- number 10, so I am half way through. I’ll have a day out today, either to Worcester by train or Moreton - in Marsh by car. I hope the day brightens up, but the forecast isn’t optimistic.

NannyJan53 Thu 24-Jan-19 07:29:28

Good Morning from a very cold Black Country, but no ice this morning.

Good to see you back Mick

Took Partner to train station earlier, then he rang to say the shuttle train was out of action! This is the small train that takes people from the town to the main junction. A taxi was provided, so I didn't have to go back out and take him to the main station smile

This evening I am going with DD and SIL, to see two of my DGD's take part in 'Young Voices' with their school choir at the Genting Arena in Birmingham. This is the last year they will do this, as they are moving next month, and will be at new schools.

So, it is the gym this morning. Then a relaxing day.

Enjoy your day everyone.

GrandmainOz Thu 24-Jan-19 07:26:47

Hi Rufus2, I'm in Victoria too. Tomorrow's gonna be a scorcher

Gagagran Thu 24-Jan-19 07:22:35

Normal order has been restored - Mick is back!

Good Morning all!

-2C this morning so the coldest we have had so far here on our bit of the south coast. I am still in the midst of a head cold so do not intend to venture far today. The usual Thursday supermarket trip has been postponed probably until tomorrow. We'll see how I feel then.

Hope the day is a good one for us all.

NanKate Thu 24-Jan-19 07:20:50

Good Morning Mick and All.

So good to have you back with us Mick how frustrating for you to have been offline for so long.

Can’t wait for it to lighten up a bit here in the mornings

Other than delivering a birthday card I will be at home packing my case in preparation to go and stay with our DS and DGSs till early next week. They have had a really tough time this week and they all need hugs and cuddles to get them back on track.

Esther1 Thu 24-Jan-19 07:18:51

Good Morning. New member here! It’s not looking quite so frosty in Surrey this morning.

Nannytopsy Thu 24-Jan-19 07:14:15

Good morning Mick and welcome back! Morning all.

BlueSapphire Thu 24-Jan-19 07:14:06

Good morning, everyone. How nice to have you back Mick, everything back to normal now.
Looks cold here in Northampton, I fear there will be a lot of black ice about this morning, so take care if you are out and about.
Out to lunch today, a Chinese I believe.
Had DGDs to stay over last night, and can just hear them stirring, so better get the bacon on! They have been promised bacon butties for breakfast!
Stay safe today, everyone.

Rufus2 Thu 24-Jan-19 07:11:34

Good Evening Mick and All Sickies; My word! Your extended absence was on the cusp of causing a riot, but commonsense prevailed. We were also on the verge of buying a comfy, naughty sofa for naughty Netters, but that can now go on the bucket-list grin
Extremely hot day here in Melb. It's just after 6.00pm and well over 40C; even hotter tomorrow! Better than being cold! Good luck with your new comp. Cheers.

Beechnut Thu 24-Jan-19 06:58:17

Great to see you mick. It's really odd when you disappear.

It's cold but dry in North Leicestershire.

Sainsbury's this am then meeting a couple of people who want to set up a 'Good neighbour scheme' in our village to make a plan. I love a good plan!
