1.15. As usual not sleeping but can’t get over the fact that outside it is as clear as a just getting dark summer night. I can see right across the field at the bottom of my garden. I know there is supposed to be a red moon in the early hours but I can’t actually see a moon. It is just very light. It’s very weird.

we had birds singing around 2am this morning ,thats quite unusual at this time of year where I am .I;m rarely in bed before 2am ,never needed much sleep and hate going to bed early as I feel I've lost half of the day .No work on tomorrow so I'll likely be around until at least 3am unless my OH wakes and wonders where I am .

Not as cold as I expected here either considering the lack of cloud cover.

I'm on a short break with dh. I suffer from RLS and an very uncomfortable at the moment and therefore up and about feeling very frustrated as he snores away. With RLS being a movement disorder I have to be walking about to ease the horrible symptoms, not much space to do that in a hotel room..... ?.

Hello. I heard there is an eclipse of the moon so I shuffled outside and saw a pink moon!
My phone camera cannot cope so no photographic evidence but at least I'm making good use of waking up so early.
I've made tea and can catch up on here.

It’s cloudy here and I’m very disappointed because I can’t see the moon. I’ve been awake since 5.15.

Yes i ve been looking from all windows but can’t see a moon anywhere guess it’s too cloudy

Me too, set the alarm for 5 and went outside but it’s too cloudy to see the moon where I live, unfortunately. Dozed through a podcast when I got back into bed but am now firmly wide awake and passing the time until I have to get up properly by reading on my iPad.

Could not see it in my part of Wiltshire.

I saw the end of the eclipse just after 6 am. the sky was very clear in Kent but the moon was no longer red by then.
Sadly on my trip to the bathroom at 5am I couldn't see the moon from the windows.
