Today has been somewhat busy. All the way to Glasgow to learn that the Cancer is in the lobes. I now have to return on Monday for a MRI scan. The outcome will determine whether the way forward will be to remove the lump or breast. Whatever the decision, it will save my life. Thank you, NHS.
I shall be back to read through al your messages tomorrow. Sleep tight. Hugs a plenty. X

That is a new experience for me but she recommends it.
I had a pub lunch yesterday so I am living the high life .

My H was so much brighter this morning , I came away much more settled than of late.

Haven’t ventured elsewhere today, the norty corner isn’t big enough for maw, charley and grannyg Can’t believe any of you deserve to be there so do come out. Sounds a good day to stay in the kitchen. Reviews are a mixed blessing don’t you think callgirl? Are there specifics you can check with the hotel in advance? All could still be well.

Here in Leicester they say “Ooya” as an exclamation (often followed by an expletive!)
Twice this afternoon I have caught myself saying it. I tipped half a bag of soil improver onto the veg plot, along with the biggest frog I have ever seen. Then I emptied an old plant pot and disturbed a big, shiny, black spider. A false widow I think. I’ve retreated inside now!

I am pleased to hear it is half term next week- the streets around my part of London will be clear of Chelsea tractors! It must cost a fortune taking a little one to school in that monstrosity.

dragonfly we agreed here many moons ago that if we could not say anything pleasant or helpful we would not bother. One or two have left or have been assisted off because they were condescending and/or rude.

We can have fun but there is also the serious side when so many are unwell and/or waiting for results which is not easy.

I am new here, but have lurked for a while. This is a lovely place to be with no-one "getting at" anyone else. Commiserations to all awaiting medical procedures, we go on Wednesday next week to hear if partner's bowel cancer has spread to his liver, and if he has to have an operation in early March. He is 86 and I am 81 so we are both feeling a bit fraught.

Why do I even get upset at abuse from someone I would not normally give the time of day to? What gives some people the right to be abusive behind the screen of anonymity?
