May I come and sit quietly in a corner where no-one can see me please. I'm feeling quite down and can manage without any more things to think about.
During the latter half of this week, apart from DH's hospital visit, which was some good and some bad news, my sister-in-law's father has died, a sort of uncle has died and I discovered that my bridesmaid (a second cousin) died of an over dose towards the end of last year. I wonder if it's me?
DH has a polyp (maybe cancerous) on his bladder but it's not huge and looks as though it has not spread. eilyann, this was found as they were investigating his prostate and we were very pleased at how thorough the checking was - lets hope that it is similar in your case. DH's prostate has gone on the back burner so to speak to be investigated afterwards.
Since we found out and told the children, WhatsApp has been alive. I think they are all calmer now.
SiL's father had pneumonia which was not responding well to treatment and decided that he was ready to go 'to be with his wife' and hung on till half past midnight on the first anniversary of her death. His funeral is to be on Valentine's Day. He was a lovely man and had his family with him the whole time after he made the decision. At one stage he said 'This b****y dying takes a long time'. They laughed and cried together and my brother says it's the way to go!
My bridesmaid had had mental health problems for a long time and had made several attempts to take her own life so not really a surprise but very very sad.
dragonfly, I'm pleased your appointment has come through and not too long to wait - its February next week!!!
It's the limbo that gets to you, isn't it? Well, it is me - I need a plan in place.
Pleased for your DH too synonymous.
No more news from panache - I hope all is ok with them. And Galen
morethan, getting ready for a holiday can be very daunting but the benefit will negate the stress of that and recharge your batteries so you can continue to be strong for the family. And, what a lovely DH!!
I apologise to those I have not mentioned. Wishing those with problems of any sort lots of love and comfort.
I think I'll go and have a nice cup of tea and watch some tv. I'll also post a picture from my phone of the lovely Wolfie and his daddy - that cheers me up!!
