I took Himself to meet the physios yesterday and visit the gym and some of the amputees in the class. He was measured for his wheelchair and it has been ordered. It was emotionally draining and exhausting. You could just see the reality hitting him and I wanted to weep for him .... but I can't as it is so disabling to us both. He now has the MRI appointment for 1st March so am praying for the pre assessment to be around the same time. So hoping that the timing will be right for DS to be with us over the operation time, know we will manage without him but it would be so helpful. They will get him home as swiftly as they can which is important. I just don't know how I am going to manage to get the chair in and out of the car. Hopefully someone will have the solution and "sufficient unto the day ..... " !
I was too tired to sleep much last night and now need some energy to get up. Smokie keeps coming in and squeaking at me so clearly it is time I got on with it! Now Himself has arrived and wants his breakfast .... why does he wait for me? It's only a bowl of muesli!
DD arrives today and will stay for 5 nights which will be lovely.
