I will obey you kind ladies, bite the bullet and sort this " inconvenience " out by making an appointment after 2.30 today and zap it once and for all.
Girls grammars in the 60s (and beyond)
Here we are again. Happy as can be. All good friends and jolly good company.
WELCOME!
I will obey you kind ladies, bite the bullet and sort this " inconvenience " out by making an appointment after 2.30 today and zap it once and for all.
I am sorry to be as boring as a new mum or gran but Molly is home and she is fine.
She is totally ignoring me and the nurse reported she has " a bit of an attitude".
ann it is so lovely that you have your wee Molly to fuss over and share cuddles. We fully understand!! Anyway she will 'forgive' you soon and be back to normal very quickly. Smokey, being a boy, had a less invasive procedure (he might not be as sanguine tho'
) but once he was tucking in to food and treats he forgot all about it.
Ann pleased Molly is fine, I am sure she will lose her attitude after some cuddles and treats.
Best wishes kitcheners I am on Granny duty to a poorly GC, hopefully pop back later x
ann delighted to hear that Molly is home resting and recovering. Of course she is not going to speak to you- look at what she has just suffered!
Your H has a fair number of falls- do they not look after him there? He is fortunate not to have broken a bone-----yet.
EllanVannin That's more like it! Well done. Please update us if and when you feel like sharing. Sharing helps no end.
ann Yay! Well done to "our Molly". She's a real trooper and I am so happy that welcomed her into your life. Plenty of tender loving care called for'
ann Oh, no...not another fall. I hope that your husband hasn't done too much harm to himself.
Greyduster You make me hoot. Trouble is, you know your husband too well. I wouldn't say no to a custard tart. It's been years since I indulged.
The sun is shining and I'm about to put cat biscuits inside the chalet. Last night, there was a visitor. He/she ate every morsal. MacSporran made a point of showing me the licked-clean dish.
I have written special thank you letters to each of my three sons. Although I feel that I fall short of being articulate (now that I'm elderly) it was delightfully easy to put my thoughts into words.
Right! Ironing duty in the morning. I shall therefore call into our kitchen for catch-up
when I return.
Love to every one of our Granspals.

Talk about it never rains but it pours!!!!
My dear GN friends, hearty apologies for my absence, believe me it was unavoidable as I have spent the last few weeks back in Hospital again, well hooked up to all manner of apparatus, truly feeling like nothing on earth, plus now having to visit most days for an unknown period.
My dear man was seemingly doing well but has had a nasty set back which is causing much concern, so I will simply say......and as you will realise........... life is not exactly rosy here in Chez Panache.
However I shall be reading through the postings and responding to those whom kindly sent me letters as soon as I get my breathe back..............you have not been far for my thoughts throughout and I am eager to “catch up”.......sending love to you all and extra portions to those that are maybe struggling and finding life extremely difficult.
Lovely to see you panache. x
So pleased Molly survived her ordeal, I am sure she will thank you when the Tom cat stop sniffing around.
Anna I find that my mum falls a lot when she has an infection. Maybe worth asking them to look out for that at the home.
Good to see you Panache, I hope our medical profession can improve your and Mr Panache’s quality of life. I wish you both well.
Good to hear from you Panache, take care ????
Good to hear from you Panache - though not your news! Will say a little prayer and
panache good to hear from you. You and your DH will be in my prayers.
Welcome back Panache! Hope you can both enjoy some Spring weather to lift your spirits.
'Hope you can both enjoy some Spring weather to lift your spirits.'
From me too
.
Lovely to hear from you Panache, but I`m so sorry that you and your husband have been so poorly.
Thank you to everyone for your sentiments regarding my son. We`re telling him to be positive until he hears otherwise, but he says it`s hard. Also, how do I tactfully advise him to make a will without sounding like the prophet of doom?
We did go to London to see the next but last performance of this year`s Strictly tour, at the O2 Arena. It was a fantastic show, even better than last year. I went with my 2 younger daughters, who still can`t stop laughing whenever a certain thing is mentioned. When we arrived at our hotel, a valet took the car to park it, and the concierge picked up Rena and Dawn`s cases and carried them inside, obviously not realising that I also had a bag. I picked up my bag and walked behind them, and when they realised they creased up. I said "This is great, you younger ones get your cases carried, the old bugger has to carry her own!" Rena said "shall we embarrass him?" I said not to, it wasn`t intentional, but they still can`t help giggling over it.
We didn`t arrive home until late on Sunday night, due to a road closure near Huntingdon because of an accident.
Good morning Soop and all the kitcheners. I’m so sorry to hear your sad news callgirl, such a shock for you and all the family.
I popped in to announce the birth of my latest grandchild, a little boy. He and his Mum are doing well after he was delivered by emergency caesarean late on Sunday night. His three sisters are delighted to have a little brother.
Oh how sweet Baubles and many congratulations!
* Panache* I shall read your latest post when I return from ironing duties.
Baubles welcome to the world to your precious grandchild. The lovely little darling x
baubles he is gorgeous, at peace with the world.
callgirl a very good idea re your son's will. Maybe mention that you must have another look at yours because you may want to change one or two things (whether you do or do not).
Congratulations, Baubles! ?
Congratulations Baubles and new baby in the family is a joy and blessing ???
Joyful news, Baubles. A lovely addition to the family.
Beautiful Baubles a new life is always so special.
Corner I would not mention wills at the moment. The news is too raw. From experience I know that when the shock wears off it becomes easier to manage but it is early days yet. Maybe wait until the treatment plan is in place. I am sure he will come to the conclusion about a will himself or you could maybe mention it to his wife at some point but it is early days yet.
Fab news Baubles. Congratulation to you and all the family!
