Charleyg Fish 'n' chips would be a huge treat. We shall indulge if at all possible.
There was, at one time, a large colony of feral cats camping somewhere in the forest. Rory, we believe, was the alpha male...until his manhood was compromised. Never did we imagine that he would move in with us. It was a miracle. He was terribly fierce (unapproachably so) for a very long time. And then...well, you know the story.

Synonymous him indoors needs to be on antibiotics asap if he has a chest infection. They take 48 hours to "kick in".

ann delighted to hear that Molly appears to have forgotten her recent trauma and is enjoying the sun.

soop when I went back for the results of my biopsy exactly a week later like you, the plan of action was indeed in place and I had my op just 8 days later, it was already " in the book"
I was very grateful that I didnt have time to worry about it.
It wax 2 weeks before Christmas so I had lots of tbings to put in place.
I do hope you get reassurance that all will be well tomorrow.

Lovely baby Baubles, such a precious time to enjoy. T'will be many a long year before there will be any other babies in our family or even extended family, however there are lots in our church family to enjoy. They all grow so fast and are on their feet before you know it as can be seen by all the cute pictures of the other 'kitchen babies' .

Galen I can well remember the fascination of watching the development of frogs from that spawn and sharing it with any little people who came my way. Spring is just around the corner with all the catkins coming out and the spring flowers bursting out. Such a lovely time of year with all that promise.

Ann I hope your DH is ok now, a fall is always a worry. Trust that Molly is getting back to normal and has forgiven and hopefully forgotten. They do bounce back quite quickly.

Bit concerned that Himself seems to have picked up a chest infection so am hitting it with everything I can think of - figuratively speaking you understand! Did ask him who he has been canoodling with but his sense of humour seems to have evaporated! Need to clear that infection asap as he won't be able to have an anaesthetic if his lungs are compromised in any way but pretty impossible to avoid with so much of it about particularly at this time of year.

The visiting cat is black. He/she triggered the sensor just as I was about to wash the dishes. I've never seen MacSporan leap from his chair like a nipper when told..."we have a cat"...the dish was empty. She/he was drinking from a container filled with fresh water placed at the entrance to the wee chalet.

Early tomorrow, we'll be leaving for the Glasgow hospital visit. I shall learn the result of the biopsy taken from the lump in my breast. The consultant has promised me that, by the time I leave, we will have a "plan of action". Fair do's. Thank you, NHS. We certainly couldn't afford private treatment. We are truly fortunate.

N&g I was busy chuckling over your description of the chicken and the walk when asked by Mr C what was so funny. He thought about it and then said it was yet another reason we should not have a dog. Oh dear, I'll keep my chuckling to myself in future. In any case pleased both Grampy and Sam survived with nothing other than dignity harmed.

Your offerings are certainly appreciated by the cats soop, it would be superb if it was the return of Tabitha, time will tell I'm sure. Its a wonderfully sunny day here, hope you have the same for your walk.

You aren't alone with the fire stick callgirl, I can manage a little with it but need regular intervention from our 10 year old who of course is an absolute whizz. I may get there, or maybe not .

I seem to recall Molly had survived her operation ann and wasn't holding too much of a grudge. How is your husband now? Hope no more falls.

We've had some more worrying family health news, it seems to be the season for it.

Off out soon to a garden centre then to the big yellow and blue building to look for cushions, they were there last week, they just have to be there today

anno we have a beautiful willow in our garden. It's been in situ for years on end. Any small twig taken from it and pushed into the ground, results in a new mini tree.

I have to log off for today. Tomorrow is a day free from duties of one kind and another. If it's dry, we'll take a walk through the grounds of the big hotel to wonder at the carpets of snowdrops.

I shall include a photo of the local farmer feeding his tups. Apparently they've done "the business", and now they are having a holiday.

Its been a glorious day here , blue skies and sunshine and the RAF testing out their very swish ( and loud) F-35s !!

Good to see Mrs Panache in the kitchen but so sorry to hear things have not been going well.

What a cutie Baubles - does he have a name?

Sam had a bit of a day today. Grampy took him out on their usual walk across the fields.... firstly one of the hens escaped from the top field and chased him !! In running away Sam misjudged the little 2 plank bridge, slipped off the side into a very deep ditch full of very smelly water and mud !

Grampy couldn't get in and Sam couldn't get out . In the end Grampy had to lie full length on the floor and haul Sam out by his collar. They returned home stinky and absolutely covered in mud. You couldn't even see Sam's white bits. To add insult to injury the hen perched on a nearby stile and watched the whole debacle !!!

They trudged home and then he had to suffer the indignity of a shower ( and so did Grampy).!!!

It wasn't quite how they expected their walk to go lol !!!

Aw Baubles, gorgeous baby!

When we were kids we always managed to bring in bundles of pussy willows which were put in various vases. Some of them rooted and one was planted in our front garden and quickly grew into a lovely tree. We didn't have far to go for our pussy willows then. I have a little Kilmarnock willow which is still waiting for its place in the garden. If this spring-like weather continues, I will plant it out and watch it thriving - and reminding me of Ayrshire.

Ironing pile reduced to merely the basket in which it started. Plus two top-ups from my pal's drier. How good is that? I have earned a princely £20 for the holiday fund box (in my knicker drawer). Now time to relax and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee.
I shall return in the fullness of time.

Thank you, ffinnochio My mother's absolute favourite. She had a stone pitcher in which she would arrange the daffodils and always include pussy willow.

As I’m not a great one for baking cakes, so thought I’d bring to the kitchen an armful of daffodils for some cheer. I don’t engage much on this thread, but do read it and think of you all.
Oh, and an armful of pussy willow for the kitchen window. There are masses of it by the river bank and it looks wonderful catching the light against a blue sky.
