Guess Rufus is back in favour, good on yer mate.^think I'm still on the 'naughty chair
Megs; What on earth have you done? Nobody deserves that fate! Do tell! You seem like a breath of fresh-air, so keep it up.
Btw; I'm assuming you are of the fair sex, (now I'll be accused of patronising; not for the first time!); if not my sympathy will evaporate very quickly! grin Now get off that chair!

An unexpectedly nice day for us today. DD and SIL invited us to the cinema to see Stan & Ollie and then lunch afterwards smile

Afternoon from me in Cumbria - 1 mile swim this morning at the local baths. Decided to go for a walk this afters but spent it doing a 1000 piece Wasjig instead - so relaxing and annoying at the same time! Still, quality family time

NanKate Sun 20-Jan-19 18:03:29

Megs I join with others who have said you are very welcome here and so is Rufus and he knows that.

IMO the two threads that are non threatening and safe to go on are this one and Soop's Kitchen.

Look forward to you joining us tomorrow.

Thank you NannyJan53.
The panto sounded great fun, glad you all enjoyed.
I'm with you with the choice of floor tiles, light don't show the dust!

Morning Gransnetters

I don't normally read the 'Good Morning' thread, but I'm not buying a newspaper today so I thought I'd read more on here - it's quite a cosy place isn't it? A group of virtual friends just chatting about things.

NanKate - you mention that you're in South Bucks so I'm guessing the local NT place might be Hughenden?

Merryweather Sun 20-Jan-19 11:19:34

Morning, albeit a late start from the shires.

Curled up with my elderly cat on the sofa listening to my 7 year old read. I'm seven weeks pregnant and feeling very very sick.

Plans are homework with the 7 and 4 year old. Food for all of us (partner and cat included) later on.

Mapleleaf Sun 20-Jan-19 11:10:11

Good morning.
A bit later today, as the internet was down earlier.
Waiting for a man to call to measure up and price some internal doors. He said he'd be here between 11 and 12, so there's time yet for him to arrive. I hate waiting around, though!
A grey, cold, damp looking morning here in South Yorks, just like yesterday. I will be so glad to see a bit of sunshine.
Not a lot planned today. I've just put the bread maker on and now some ironing beckons.
I hope mick is back tomorrow. smile
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Annaram1 Sun 20-Jan-19 11:07:06

I just wish somebody would advise me on how to start a thread, please. Have a good day.

Barmeyoldbat Sun 20-Jan-19 10:38:03

Good morning all. Cold and damp here, husband is doing the ironing god bless him and I am on the laptop with a cup of coffee. Went to visit my daughter yesterday a 110 mile round trip across country and I lest my purse there with all my cards and life in it. I can't face the drive again so my son has said he will pop down and picket up for me. I must admit I have two good men in my life. enjoy the day

Keeleklogger Sun 20-Jan-19 10:22:02

ScotinOz Sun 20-Jan-19 09:56:58

EllanVallin, do you know the suburb? It would be quite a coincidence if she lived near me ??

NannyJan53 Sun 20-Jan-19 09:52:33

Good morning from a damp and grey Black Country. Oh well, it will soon be Spring and Summer, then I can say Sunny and warm with bright blue skies Black Country. That should cheer Rufus up wink

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday with 2 of my DGD's at the Panto yesterday, they really got involved, with all the 'oh no it isn't' etc, and the show even managed to get 'Baby Shark 'in there.

Today, we are going to (hopefully) choose floor tiles for the kitchen, I fancy light coloured he wants dark. This is going to be fun smile. Then at some point I want to make a batch of Spag Bol for the freezer. It is roast lamb for dinner tonight.

So sorry to read about your MIL 1inamillion and I send my sincerest condolences to your and your family.

Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.
