A real shock to all viewers and so sudden, she took part in a long children in need walk in November and was still presenting until shortly before Christmas.. A lady full of life and energy, always a wide smile on camera. The North West programme tonight was a lovely tribute and no weather forcast as a respect to all involved. A terrible loss for her husband and children who must be devastated by the speed at which it has happened.

I couldn't place her, so I googled.
It seems she must have been very popular, reading about her colleagues' reactions.

Very sad. I thought the Northwest Tonight tribute was very moving.

It gave me a shock too, being in the NW, after following her all these years. Thoughts to her family RIP.

I was so shocked to read this news, she has been in my and H's life for so long, I will really miss her.
I actually said " oh no " out loud.
It was all so sudden and I know her fellow presenters will miss her dearly.
She wore the highest heels, like pencils, and the smartest clothes, she was so full of life.
A lesson to us all, live for every moment.
My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

I'm watching the announcement on the news right now. I had no idea who she was.
Very sad, so young R.I.P. Dianne.
