Morning Mick and All

Missed my usual log in as I had a blood test and woke up a bit late so it was a scramble.

Lovely and sunny in South Bucks.

Think of you and yours today Kitty.

I’m intrigued Mary with your ‘ruthless clearout’?

Annie Spring isn’t far away when they are new beginnings.

Off to the local Amateur Dramatics to see Treasure Island tonight, what fun.

Had the chimney swept first thing and he had his daughter with him ... she’s learning the trade... and I was very pleased for her as her elder brother had turned the opportunity down... I thought good girl ... is that patronising???

Good Morning all you sweet people. I'm not usually up this early 7:28, but I'm volunteering today and every Friday at the airport Military Welcome Center. It is still dark here in Oklahoma USA and 7C. I'm wearing my long underwear today. I'll hug all the troops for y'all. Have a good day!

Not embarrassed about A.M’s interview. It’s obviously been a very emotional decision for him. One he has reluctantly had to concede to. Hence his tears. Poor man, what angst.

jennyvg Fri 11-Jan-19 12:37:02

Is it just me or does anyone else feel slightly embarrassed by Andy Murrays interview with regard to him maybe about to play in his last professional tournament

Feelingmyage55 Fri 11-Jan-19 11:49:55

Good morning all. Been clearing up after all the wind and sorting pots for planting. Everyone stops to chat when I am in the garden so it takes three times as long to get things done - which is why I like it, so sociable and I don’t need to tidy myself up! Now for brunch.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 11-Jan-19 11:43:28

I'm a bit late but at least it's still morning. The sun is shining here in the East Midlands after a murky start.
Best of luck Urmstongran with the diet, I won't let on!
Three things to cope with - a leak under the kitchen sink, burglar alarm has developed a buzz and the MOT is due. All arranged this morning but damn and blast - the expense!
I'm not low-spirited though - it must be the blue sky!

Go aggie?

Good Morning from a dull , dry, still , Co Armagh . Still in PJs . I was called in to play on the bowls team last night shock so I have aches and pains in odd places , I haven't played for a couple of years , but joined in the Christmas Round Robin , so must have been " spotted " It was great , we won too ! , bit of a let down coming in to an empty house , no one to boast too , but I certainly slept well and feel all the better for it . I have promised to join in the fun bowls and be a reserve smile

Mapleleaf Fri 11-Jan-19 10:46:45

Good morning,
A cloudy morning with the odd glimpse of sunshine, but the clouds are getting denser so I suspect the sun won't be shining much longer.
Got some bills to pay today, then back to some ironing.
Hope you have a nice day. ?

Legs55 Fri 11-Jan-19 10:24:59

Good morning Mick & GNers. Looks like we had rain overnight but now very sunny morning here in Devon. Hoping to do some more tidying up in the garden slowly , I love sunny dayssmile

Urmstongran Fri 11-Jan-19 10:00:53

Good morning everyone. It’s an hour ahead of the U.K. over here in Malaga so it’s 11am here now and warming up nicely. I’m on a fast day today (I started the 5:2 diet last week). I need to shift a couple of stones if I’m honest, but don’t tell anyone .... ?

annsixty Fri 11-Jan-19 09:26:58

Good morning all.
Dull again in Stockport, going to see H this afternoon instead of morning as I have been offered a lift.
I will be thinking of you and your H today kitty and you Dora, I have been there and done that.
Be prepared for the fatigue setting in in a week or so, so, look after yourself and rest when you csn.

Good morning All x
Cloud hanging over again but it's dry and frost-free, if anything it's unusually mild-----different from 12 months ago !
Fingers crossed, a dizzy free day up to now. It was obviously the remains of the head cold I'd had, but very unpleasant while it lasted----walking into the walls and nearly missing the toilet,it was horrible.
Main thing was my INR was spot on yesterday at surgery.

Hope everyone's now lurgy-free and able to get on with your day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Cold and grey but dry in South Yorkshire. Restless legs caused me to bed hop last night but it didn’t help. Sorry your back is still troubling you, Harri. Know what that is like. DH is planning to do “something” in the garden this morning and says I might like to help. Poor deluded man! Best wishes to all with hospital appointments today. Have a good day folks.

harrigran Fri 11-Jan-19 08:49:58

Good morning, overcast but dry and 5 degrees.
DH is getting ready to take my sister to the airport, she likes to arrive good and early so I am staying at home to rest my poor back.
I spent yesterday watching TV as I could barely move, hoping for a more productive day.

Willow10 Fri 11-Jan-19 08:49:21

Good morning all. I'm up late this morning after a very restless night. Enjoyed a nice natter at friends new house yesterday. Checked out the new Aldi and bought a popcorn maker. Hoping that it pops it better than I do in a saucepan! Not sure what today will bring but at leadt it looks a bit brighter outside.

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 08:48:20

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

As usual, not going anywhere, not seeing anyone.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning from a dull, damp Colchester.
Another quiet day with only bed changing and ironing on the agenda.
I could easily hibernate through January.

Sar53 Fri 11-Jan-19 08:24:24

Good morning everyone from a grey but milder Essex by the sea. I need to pop into town to return some trousers and make an appointment at the bank then it's food shopping. Ironing later, wow I certainly know how to have a good time !!!
Have a good day everyone.

BlueSapphire Fri 11-Jan-19 08:19:13

Welcome to a damp, grey and cold morning in Northampton.
Good lunch out yesterday, there were 18 of us!
Trying a new yoga class this morning with a couple of friends, hope it's gentle, and not too many downward facing dogs as I just cannot do that! Then we are planning on having a light lunch out afterwards. Gosh, that lunch out three days in a row!
School run this pm and giving the DGDs tea. Eldest is set to go camping with her Guide company in Epping Forest tonight, and she's not looking forward to it! Neither would I be in this weather...
Hope everyone's day goes well.

Marydoll Fri 11-Jan-19 08:13:58

Good morning from a very cold Glasgow, but no frost, thank goodness.

Off out early to help a friend who has vertigo and then back to continuing my ruthless clearout.

Best wishes to Dora and Mr Lester, for hospital visits.

Have a good day all.

loopylou Fri 11-Jan-19 08:11:54

Good morning to you all!
It's overcast here north of Bath and, as it's not looking so cold, I'm hoping to get a bit of garden tidying done today. Lots of snowdrops flowering which is lovely!

Brunette10 Fri 11-Jan-19 08:09:45

Morning to all and to those who follow. It's still dark in Fife but looks rather damp outside. Rain tonight I believe. Doing some re-furb work in small bedroom/study so will help where I can. Maybe better staying out the way though smile. My bit comes at the end - tidying up. Hope all goes well for everyone today.

angelic Fri 11-Jan-19 08:06:59

Morning all from a cloudy dull Hampshire. Coffee meet up with dear friend this am, lots to catch up on!
Then ironing which I meant to do yesterday.
Have a good day all, and take care
