Good afternoon All x
One of those mornings-----
I already had a 10.30 appoint. with the bank and meanwhile a tradesman had booked himself in at 9am.

No sign of said tradesman which meant me hanging on 'till the last minute before leaving for the bank. From the bank I trundled to Asda, spent more than I wanted to and made for home.
At about 1 ish had just put shopping away and tradesman knocked so he was here for nearly an hour and here I am grabbing something to eat now. I hate having to rush.

Anyway, hope everyone's alright.

Morning greetings from across the pond. The sun has yet to peak over the northern Vermont horizon. However, a thick cloud cover brings the promise of more snow or drat, freezing rain.

I've only recently joined this group and love reading how other grans are moving thru their days as they meet the choices and challenges that arise as we age.

What an idiot I am, I thought Michael was going to install new double glazed windows thinking 10 is a lot to do in one day.

Porridge forever! Great stuff.

Rufus2 Tue 08-Jan-19 11:03:02

Good Evening Mick and all sickies! Weather has been lovely for my half-yearly birthday bash. Started with an extra piece of Weetbix for breckie! Not Scots porage oats! Yuk! grin
Spag. Bol., for dinner tonight.
Good Health

Morning all, sun playing "peek-a-boo" with clouds here in Devon. Very windy & very cold here, so much for tidying up in the garden, I might even have to resort to doing the ironinggrin

Good luck with Windows 10 Mick, I got a new laptop 4 years ago which had Windows 8, DD managed to put Windows 10 on it, I hate it so much I'm still using my old ancient laptop with Windows 7 which I lovesmile

Have a good day all

Morning all,
blue sky and the promise of a little sunshine in Somerset.
Hospital visit for me today, nothing serious thank goodness.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone ( a little late, but still am.) Just to say 'good luck' with Windows 10 Mick; I bought a new PC two years ago with an older version of Windows and a guaranteed update of 10 once it was available. I can't say I am terribly impressed - the older version was better and easier to use - but I did find 'Windows 10 for Dummies' very helpful. Those books are so good!

Good morning all, from a bright, sunny but cold Hampshire.
Meeting up with Nursing Friend for coffee this am.
We have been friends for 12 years., but did not realise until last year that we were born on the same day in the same town within an hour of each other.
Probably explains why we are so close!
Take care and hope your day is good

Good morning. It's a beautiful sunny day here in this part of Birmingham. Just the day for a walk.

Barmeyoldbat Tue 08-Jan-19 10:17:56

Good morning all, a beautiful sunny bright but cold day. Going to get ready for my weekly keep fit session and then a bit of a walk, coffee and back home. Enjoy the day.

Morning Mick and All.

Late call in today as I have had a trip to the Docs. Thumbs up to the NHS queued in the cold at the surgery explained I had experienced on and off stomach pains since Saturday. They booked me into the Clinic for emergencies. Saw a lovely Doc who gave me a thorough examination, declared nothing major going on, which was a relief. Back home now taking Buscopan for the cramps, hottie to the ready and plain food, NO alcohol, till it all settles down. A result!

Hope all goes well for Mr Kitty today.

Cold but beautiful in North Yorkshire. Wanting to go for my daily 2miles walk but waiting for a log delivery and just know he will arrive when I am out. Ton of logs being delivered and husband is in Iceland until tomorrow! Decided on one hour of moving logs followed by tea and half hour rest and then another hour. Hope to get them all moved so husband can get his car in the drive when he arrives home!

Good evening everyone from a still warm Sydney.

Reached 35 degrees today although it is the high humidity which I hate!

I'm a hostess to a community group that run friendship meetups across Australia and New Zealand. My group meets in Western Sydney. Today was our January get together. 30 people turned up, which was lovely but tiring as hostess.

Tonight the DGC are staying overnight....hope they decide to have a sleepin tomorrow ??

Take care....

Wishing you all a very good morning from sunny Malaga. No plans today which is quite nice.

oldgaijin Tue 08-Jan-19 09:12:30

Good morning all from a wind blasted Aberdeenshire...that was some night of gales and rain and I heard another pane of glass in the greenhouse shatter. Must sweep up before my cleaning lady comes as she brings her pug to entertain me!
Had the usual phone call from the diabetic nurse yesterday and she is delighted that I have got my blood sugar levels down to an acceptable level, at last.
Me too.
Have a good day everyone.

harrigran Tue 08-Jan-19 09:10:48

Good morning, still very windy here.
Lunch with sisters and BILs today, eldest will do all the talking so I can just sit back and relax.
DD flew home yesterday after nearly three weeks, we got to see her three times which was nice.

NannyJan53 Tue 08-Jan-19 09:03:23

Good Morning from a bright and mild Black Country,

Not long up, we are both still feeling 'queasy' and hardly ate anything the last couple of days. So another day of staying in and seeing how we feel later.

Hope you all have a good day.

dragonfly46 Tue 08-Jan-19 09:03:07

Good morning everyone.

Hospital visit for DH today and trying to work out the logistics with his sciatica.
Wheel chair is loaded in the car but hoping to avoid that. Thinking he ought to try and walk with stick as it would be better for him at this stage. He is still in a lot of pain, however.
Unfortunately the appointment is totally unrelated to his back!

Pittcity Tue 08-Jan-19 08:57:46

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Going to make the most of it and go for a walk. Bit of a browse in town. I need a new pair of specs.....

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A clear cold dry day in South Yorkshire. We have a walk planned, and lunch out. Marydoll I find it wearing trying to keep up with my DDs seesawing opinions on what GS should be eating and drinking. I am rapidly developing a deaf ear! Have a good day folks.

Willow10 Tue 08-Jan-19 08:23:24

Good morning all. No wind but a pink sky on the horizon. Blue, I'm sure your cats are fine - just being cats! Mine drives me crazy, loving a certain food one week and refusing to eat it the next - just as I've stocked up! Bit of shopping to do today plus a visit to a showroom on the hunt for a new front door. My house was built in 1886 and I think the existing draughty wooden one must be the original. Hope it's a pleasant day for everyone.
