Have a look! Awesome grin She obviously was on a working holiday during her visit to the Invictus Games with David. Her fee was probably more than I earned in my final year before retirement, but I expect it all went to good causes grin
Btw; I don't usually read Vogue! Cheers

" what a fatuous load of shallow crap the fashion world surely is."
I agree too.

starbird Thu 10-Jan-19 18:17:40

Love your last sentence TerriBull that says it all.

Maybe VB looks miserable because she sticks to a strict healthy diet ?

Gonegirl Wed 09-Jan-19 15:10:02

I think the Beckhams seem a very nice family. Good too, that the grans are so often included. Can't be bothered with the green-eyed monster stuff.

Gonegirl Wed 09-Jan-19 15:07:40

Are there any current day models that havent used that pose? The dress is weird but the pose is commonplace.

lemongrove Wed 09-Jan-19 14:47:20

Amen to that Terri??

TerriBull Wed 09-Jan-19 14:42:47

I was in the doctor's waiting room today and picked up Vogue magazine and it happened to be the one that had the photoshoot of VB and her family. All four children were in ridiculously expensive clothes, t shirts that looked bog standard and cost hundreds, the little girl had a pair of ankle socks on costing £45 shock I do wonder why VB is constantly allowing her children to be in the public domain. Meanwhile she comes across as self absorbed, uncomfortable, positively grimacing, as always the predictable miserable face trademark never changes in spite of her wealth and good fortune. It also made me realise when flicking through the magazine, because God knows I'd never pay for it, what a fatuous load of shallow crap the fashion world surely is.

lemongrove Wed 09-Jan-19 14:25:15

I had a look at the pic after reading all the posts on here, and didn’t think she looked too bad ( was expecting worse, let us say.) She always does look miserable of course, and often wonder why.

Rufus2 Wed 09-Jan-19 12:05:59

Here are some other Vogue covers
Fennel; Thank you for those pics; just in time for my half- birthday. Just what I wanted! wink Victoria B stood out from the crowd wherever she appeared. I like her!
I can't help thinking of what the reaction would have been if a man had posted them? The "Gang of Four" would have had him thrown out the door; that's why I sweated over my expurgated post! grin "One law for the rich etc......" But you have to admit she looks good! wink

TerriBull Mon 07-Jan-19 14:04:28

I like the recent one with Adowa Aboah because it's so 70s retro it reminds me of that era's makeup and of the magazines I bought then when I wasted money on such fripperies. I also like the Kate Moss covers, not everyone will agree, but I've always thought she has a certain something, and of course she does that whole thing "never explain and never complain" so well. Every generation needs a trailblazer in bad behaviour.

Elegran Mon 07-Jan-19 13:15:16

Most of them seriously obsessed with themselves. I like the one in the red hijab.

Fennel Mon 07-Jan-19 12:47:16

Here are some other Vogue covers.
Most of them look rather grumpy

I think Vogue has lots of editions and they do not share their contents.

Fennel Mon 07-Jan-19 11:54:08

I wonder why that photo cover hasn't been used in the UK.

Rufus2 Mon 07-Jan-19 11:45:13

BlueBelle; Aren't there any other men you can quiz, or aren't they allowed to see such pictures in case they get too curious? I'm thinking DH, OH, live-in Exs? etc. They must have some views on VB! wink

starbird Mon 07-Jan-19 11:20:45

I am not going to comment as I have made a resolution not to be catty. ( But I do wonder if her head is stuck at that angle?).

Rufus2 Mon 07-Jan-19 11:09:04

As a man Rufus
BlueBelle; Thanks for that! smile , but don't shoot the messenger! I only bring the good news then it's up to anyone to do what they like. Your questions suggest you would like to psycho-analyse me and I picture me lying on your couch, you sitting by my side with writing pad at the ready and crooning Barbra S's "Memories" as you probe "the corners of my mind!" No!?
Oh well; worth a try! grin
My answers to your quiz are all neutral, except that the pose is definitely interesting being a take on Christine. You haven't asked a 4th.; do I find VB attractive? Of course; sultry, mysterious and rich.! blush
Now, probe away!

BlueBelle Sun 06-Jan-19 13:59:14

As a man Rufus do you find it an attractive picture or an attractive pose or even an attractive dress ?

Rufus2 Sun 06-Jan-19 13:35:35

magazine articles are about non-mainstream minority tastes
Elegran; I thought they were simply about selling copies, regardless!
To put your mind at rest: that Vogue article "popped up" whilst I was following a serious thread and being a man of many interests, not to mention talents (!) my mind immediately connected to a similar pose by Christine Keeler in the 60s, (but I can't recall a similar pose by Mandy-Rice -Davies). sad The mag. editor almost certainly had similar thoughts.
Obviously I have to view these matters from a purely male perspective, but my altruistic nature bade me share it with all and sundry! grin
Cheers

Not sure that I feel any sympathy for VB, but I do feel very sorry for the 60 members of staff that lost their jobs because her business was losing £4000 a day, whilst she paid herself £700,000 a year. If I had that on my mind, I might look as terrible as she looks in this photo.

BlueBelle Sun 06-Jan-19 13:02:14

Unfortunately Vic s facial appearance is never any different she always looks as if she’s got a wasp up her bum
Poor woman always looks miserable although she shouldn’t be with her money and fame and family

TerriBull Sun 06-Jan-19 13:00:26

Not sure what's going on around her bust area, it looks pretty uncomfortable. Women have been pulled in and bound up (thinking of feet in China) throughout history and some cultures still impose painful practices on women in the name of beauty, so this photoshoot is regrettable in that sense.

VB appears to be addicted to promoting herself and her family, I think it's not great the way she has allowed so much of her children's lives to be put up there on social media, it's not as if they can make an informed choice about that when they are very young. She seems to have lost the essence of herself in her everlasting quest to promote the brand Beckham. Shame! Not a fan of her or him.

EllanVannin Sun 06-Jan-19 12:43:51

How could you eat or breathe with such a restriction on the diaphragm ? No room for expansion. Maybe that's to do with the facial expression.

Fennel Sun 06-Jan-19 12:41:53

Poor Victoria, looks as if she's 'losing it' as they say now.
Evidently her own fashion business isn't doing too well either.

Elegran Sun 06-Jan-19 12:35:52

Are persons under the age of 50 in favour of misogynistic fashion, then? That is what most of the comments are about, not about VB going with her husband to Oz (probably to keep an eye on him!)

Rufus2 Sun 06-Jan-19 12:24:55

I'd be very surprised if that's a genuine Vogue cover. Why have you posted it?
Riverwalk: grin Be prepared to be very surprised! Cripes! suspicion runs rampant! Of course it's genuine! Would I waste your time if it wasn't? I was going to post the whole original then realised it contained ads which as we all know are taboo on GN, although being the OZ version of Vogue it shouldn't be relevant. Anyway, I played it safe and posted an expurgated version. perhaps I should have put up a warning caption, "Not suitable for persons over the age of 50"! grin You can have the unexpurgated version if you want further proof; just give the word. grin I thought VB was flavour of the month for accompanying David all the way to OZ for Harry's Invictus Games, but it looks as if I'm on the outer! sad
Anyway, that's a genuine Vogue so make of it what you will. smile OoRoo !
