Very cold and heavy frost here in Devon, was -1 when I went for a walk at 0830, now 3 outside and barely 15 inside - probably should of left the heating on overnight. Means I need to keep moving - hopefully use up a few calories doing a bit of vacuuming.

Good morning all. Gloomy and overcast but off out for a walk to get moving again and back into a normal routine. Grammaretto. Thank you for mentioning the art exhibition. Think I might use my bus pass next week and visit it. Hope you all feel better soon.

A late Good Morning All. x
Dull dry but not cold.

Was looking forward to my first cup of tea this morning and as always smelled the milk before pouring. After heaving, then going into a strop with myself I literally dived into the shower and got ready to go to the local shop ( I don't like locals ) not even for milk, but I searched the dates and found 13th so that was okay.

Ah well that little episode livened me up for the day.

Good morning all x

Happy Birthday Kitty ??

Hope you are ok Anniebach x

Off to Sainsbury’s this morning I really do not like the shop but I need things that Aldi and my high street cannot provide.

Wishing you all a peaceful day xx

Good morning, it is overcast but dry.
We are without the guest bathroom as the cistern self destructed and leaked through the kitchen ceiling. All my high end German fittings are coming back and biting me on the bum. Difficult to get replacements and instruction books in German. I wish I had gone with bog standard at least the parts would be available.
Thinking of you today kitty and birthday greetings too if it is today.

NannyJan53 Sat 05-Jan-19 09:13:33

Good Morning from a dull but frost free Black Country.

The main job today is taking all the Christmas decorations up to the loft. Tonight we are going to a family get together, for a Curry for Partners younger brothers 65th Birthday. Bit of a drive on the M42!

Hoping that everyone feeling poorly will be much better soon, and special thoughts to DoraMarr hope it all goes well.

Wishing kitty a very happy birthday.

Morningall. Very grey here in Northampton today, but no frost.
Trying to do DT cryptic crossword but failing miserably.
Off to cinema this afternoon to see The Favourite, will be enjoying a nice glass of wine while I watch.
MrTumble, Wiltshire is my home county, would love to go back and live there, but have too many ties to where I am now.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Cold and grey here in South Yorkshire. We spent yesterday having a major sort out of cupboards and today is drawers day! I am grumpy before we even start! MOMB I am sorry to hear you are still poorly. Sounds like a corker.
Kitty I will be thinking about you both today and if, as NanKate says, it is your birthday, have the best day you possibly can.

Grammaretto Sat 05-Jan-19 08:28:35

Morning all and best wishes to those with illnesses from a still so dark Scottish Borders that I had to check I wasn't an hour early.
I had a tooth out yesterday but didn't feel up to much afterwards so went straight home and began a new knitting project. Art galleries will have to wait.

ScotinOz Sat 05-Jan-19 08:28:24

Good evening from a much cooler Sydney. The heatwave finally broke this afternoon with a storm. Much more comfortable now.

Didn't do much today, just went for some groceries and a coffee.

Take care....

Good Morning from a dull Fife.Weather does look very glum today but at least it's dry. Still deciding on what to do today have three choices, 2 includes DH one not, will probably let him decide. A few of you under the weather by the sounds of things so take care and look after yourself, January is not a good month seems to bring a lot of ailments, stay warm. For everyone with plans enjoy your day.

DoraMarr Sat 05-Jan-19 08:27:37

Good morning from Birmingham, where it is cloudy but with no frost. I had a lie in this morning after my three days of childcare. I was touched that my daughter left me a lovely card and a beautiful little blue and white china cat when she picked up her baby, to wish me luck for my forthcoming radiotherapy. She is so thoughtful. Today I will be doing some housework, paying a couple of biannual bills, and trying to contact Sky about my non- functioning phone. Such fun!

cornergran Sat 05-Jan-19 08:19:51

Morning Mick, morning All, it’s chilly and overcast in our corner of Somerset. Yesterday’s plans were put on hold as I felt what I can only describe as odd so stayed put. Will see what happens today, hope to do a food shop, won’t starve if I can’t get there. Mr C can go with a very short list. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Marydoll Sat 05-Jan-19 08:18:07

Good morning all from a very dark Glasgow. No frost thank goodness.

A quiet day today, I'm suffering after my marathon at the shops and can hardly move this morning. I met so many people I knew that a two hour visit turned into nearly five, but it was worth it. DH thought I had been kidnapped!
It was lovely to have a bit of company after being stuck in for weeks with this flare up.

I shall pop up to see my son and of course my wee granddaughter with a wedding present for my son's best friend. I just need an excuse to see her, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

MOBB. sorry to be all doom and gloom, my chest infection lasted for weeks, as I left it too long before going to the doctor's. I hope you feel better soon.

My best wishes for your DH today, Kitty
Dragonfly, you need to take care of yourself too, time to seek help. I think.

Have a good Saturday.

MrTumble Sat 05-Jan-19 08:15:50

Or " warmer" not Warner.

MrTumble Sat 05-Jan-19 08:14:14

Good Morning, it's just starting to get light here in my part of Wiltshire.
Feels a bit Warner than yesterday. Going to visit family later today.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone from a very grey looking Essex by the sea. We are off to Kent to celebrate youngest granddaughter's first birthday which was yesterday. The past year seems to have gone by very quickly. She has just started walking and had her first pair of shoes on Thursday. Let's hope the dreaded M25 plays ball today.
I hope you all have a good Saturday.

Good Morning. Dry and cold in Leicestershire. Bin men came at 6 and woke the whole neighbourhood.

Driving down to South Mimms services today to hand grand dog back to DD.

DH still in a bad way. Could not even get dressed yesterday - time to get the Carers in?

Thinking of you today Kitty

seasider Sat 05-Jan-19 07:58:49

Good Morning . It's dark and dull on the Fylde coast !

Pittcity Sat 05-Jan-19 07:48:48

Good morning from a dark, cold Colchester.
University Sports centre has an Open Day and I am taking part in the Walking Netball at 10am so need to get my body into gear after a lazy few weeks.
My cold is much better but DH seems to be succumbing.

NanKate Sat 05-Jan-19 07:46:23

Morning Mick and All, especially Kitty who I think is celebrating a special birthday. ? However with everything else going on in your life at present maybe you want to keep things low key. However Happy Birthday from your many friends

Slept badly as I was trying to compose a difficult letter. I bet I won’t remember any of the good phrases this morning.

Not sure of our plans yet. Still very chilly in South Bucks.

BradfordLass72 Sat 05-Jan-19 07:44:10

Oh dear, sorry to hear about all the illness - wrap up well you poor things and keep drinking plenty of water.

mumofmadboys I have a cousin in Cumbria, a place called Dufton, know it?

Our weather is much the same as Rufus although I got hot under the collar yesterday and today when the promised home-care lady didn't arrive and then when I rang to ask what the heck was happening, the reliever didn't either.

But finally, about 7pm a new lady bounced in, took me to the supermarket to get essential supplies (I'd had no fresh food since a shop on 28th) and she was a real honey and we had lots of laughs.

So from a mistake came a good thing.

Enjoy your weekend everyone smile
