Morning all, just got up after a sleepless night with this horrible cold virus that is doing the rounds.
Sunny in Hampshire, but looks cold outside.
Take care all and have a good day

Good morning from a frosty north Shropshire.Hoping to meet my daughter and granddaughter for a walk later at Chirk Castle but it is so cold I think we may spend more time in the tea rooms.Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,
Another grey, dull, cold and still day here.
Doing a dummy run later to a place I need to be next week that I've never been to before. Need to be sure where it is and roughly how long it takes to get there, as don't want to get lost looking for it on the day! Other than that, nothing special arranged for today.
Hope everyone has a good day. ?

Good morning All. x
A still but dull and dry day here on the Wirral.

Just noticed that I should have seen the nurse yesterday for an appointed INR, oh dear, I clean forgot. I shall have to phone my apologies later. Then again, nobody from the surgery reminded me either. Ah well, nothing urgent.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hello all. It's cold and grey here in Nottingham. I've got loads of ironing to do, then I'm meeting my friend for coffee this afternoon.

Brunette10....you've been up since 2am? shock

harrigran Fri 04-Jan-19 08:57:38

Good morning, 3 degrees here but I can't see any frost.
Plumber is here, last night I looked up in the kitchen and saw a large spreading scene on the ceiling. We think there is a problem in the guest bathroom. This is the fourth time we have water through the ceiling since we had our home refurbished, all different rooms too. Thankfully we did not have the redecoration before Christmas that I was hoping for.
Christmas decorations will get packed away today and hopefully everything will be back to normal.

Good morning all from a grey Aberdeenshire. It's chilly but there's no frost. Diabetic clinic this morning...am managing to keep blood sugar under 10, but shall probably get a row from the scary nurse! Rest of the day will be spent pottering.
Have a good day everyone.

Brunette10 Fri 04-Jan-19 08:51:53

Good Morning to all, it's not too bad here in Fife today, no frost, no wind and no rain so not a bad day.Up later today as was wakened around 2 this morning, 2 cats obviously sleep in our front porch on our doormat and decided to have a fight or a dance smile. The noise woke us up and then couldn't get back to sleep. I 'm not a lover of cats so obviously not happy at all that I have two taking advantage of the shelter. Any suggestions would be greatly received wink Hope everyone has a good day.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Just about light here in the Scottish Borders. Dentist this morning for extraction and then, if I survive, I may take the bus to Edinburgh to see the Turner watercolours at the National Gallery. These are only on show in January due to the fear of light damage.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Another grey cold day in South Yorkshire. Nothing planned for today other than ironing and sorting out some drawers and cupboards. How do these things get so out of hand?? Isn’t there a law that says that junk expands to fill any given space? Have a good day folks.

Urmstongran Fri 04-Jan-19 08:36:40

Good morning everyone from a sunny Malaga. Just opened the door and it’s lovely and mild. It was 23° yesterday! I can smell the pine trees and can hear the wood pigeons.

Pittcity Fri 04-Jan-19 08:27:30

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Below freezing still.
I am hibernating in bed but must get up and get some housework done while DH is at the gym, easier with nobody under my feet.

Beechnut Fri 04-Jan-19 08:22:54

Good Morning to you all.
I woke late this morning so it’s light here but is cold and frosty. There is a red band of sky over the Cotswolds I can see in the distance.
Plan to stay in today and do some chores this morning then perhaps have a play with my craft items later.

Have a good day whatever you are up too.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Jan-19 08:20:53

Good morning from a cold SE Essex.

Sky is trying to turn blue?

Cleaners are here soon, so I need to get up, but after a bad nights sleep I would rather stay in bed!!!

Off to the gym this morning will leave Mr GG in charge of GS for a while.

Then it will probably be doing his new puzzles thus afternoon.

Good morning Anniebach x

Have a peaceful day all.

Good morning all, very cold but no frost here in Letchworthwhich surprised me as i thought it would be. Anyway finally back to normal with life after Christmas., I went to whist last night and we had a good turn out over 20 people, now off to my knit and natter group this morning then the library. Have finished a really good book by Lulu Taylor called the Snow Rose and want to see if i can find any more titles by her in our local library. Have a wonderful day everyone what ever you are doing and those of you in pain or distress hope things resolve themselves eventually.

Good Evening Everyone; Wow! What a day! 30C soon after brekkie, 45C after lunch and now thankfully it's "cooled" back to the mid-20s, all in the space of an hour!
But I love it! Rather be hot than cold and keeping up the fluids!
Good Health to all sickies!

MrTumble Fri 04-Jan-19 08:10:03

Good morning everyone. Cold and frosty in my part of Wiltshire. Have waken up with a headache, so going to rest for a bit and hope it not to long before it goes, as I need to go out later.
smile

Morning all, bitterly cold and very frosty in Northampton today.
Nice day out in MK yesterday, lunch at Cafe Rouge. Managed to get DD's birthday present, some nice stuff from Burt's Bees which she loves, and some half price Christmas cards. For once all buses ran on time!
Sainsbury's and M&S this morning for a top-up shop and a coffee, then school run in the afternoon.
Wrap up warm if you're going out today!

Marydoll Fri 04-Jan-19 08:00:38

Good morning from a mild Glasgow. It's three degrees! grin

Not much planned today after a marathon taking down ofthe trees yesterday.
I cleared the conservatory in no time, but fortunately DH managed to entangle two sets of lights together from the other tree. It took him hours to untangle them. ?
I suspect his unmethodical method of hashing and bashing may have something to do with it. grin.

I do have a parcel to collect, so I'm going to get out early before the hordes appear, as the schools are still off.

Have a good day everyone.

Willow10 Fri 04-Jan-19 07:49:25

Good morning from a dark and frosty East Northants. Looks like I bought my warm coat just in time! Ten pin bowling and coffee with U3A this morning. It will be good to catch up with everyone after the Christmas break. Have a peaceful day everyone.

Gagagran Fri 04-Jan-19 07:48:05

Good Morning all! It's cold here on the south coast but the forecast is for more sunny spells with the light wind coming from the east. Always a cold direction.

Nothing planned for today but something will demand attention at some point even if it's only the need to cook!

Hope the day is a good one for us all and that you manage with your store cupboard staples BradfordLass!

dragonfly46 Fri 04-Jan-19 07:43:52

Good Morning everyone.

Dog walking, shopping abs a visit to Mum today.

Can you order stuff online Bradford?

BradfordLass72 Fri 04-Jan-19 07:38:36

Not cold here but I'm hot under the collar as the home-care service did not send anyone for the regular Friday 2 hours during which we always shop for fresh food for the weekend and change my library audio books.
So now, it'll be Tuesday (the next home care day) before I can put any of that right. Grrrr.

But I'm looking forward to the weekend and have a few tins in the pantry.
