Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and frosty here in brackley this morning , yesterdays diabetes result its gone down to 6.4 and weight loss as well.
I think taking the black seed oil twice a day may have helped?
Mick

I see other people have the dreaded lurgy. I have had it for two weeks now and feel rotten and incapable of doing anything much. My sinuses are appalling and my lungs are clogged up. I'm sleeping in the spare room, so my husband doesn't catch it, but he just said he feels as if he's getting a cold. Is it worth going to the doctor, do you think, I feel so unwell and I'm missing all the sales!

Sorry, its good afternoon from me in Sweden, a cold morning but beautifull, sunny and pleasant day.Days are longer and lighter but not the mornings yet, but they are on their way.

Same here with the 5.2 we usually do Thursdays and Mondays. Just back from the library which reopened after the Christmas break, they were having a book sale so couldn’t resist a couple. Cold out, , but clear and fresh. Crocheting this afternoon to take my mind of the Christmas chocs still lurking in the cupboard. Hope everyone has a good day.

Back on the 5:2 today too so very glad of the tips.
Having an operation on my foot on the 16th so am trying to lose a bit of weight. Haven't weighed since before Christmas, going to pluck up some courage and weigh tomorrow.

Morning from South Wales. Seems colder today as it's not sunny. Taking the decs down. We have two gardeners here today cutting back all the trees and shrubs. Just taken them some tea and homemade fruit muffins which have gone down well. We don't get much frost here as we're on the coast. Going to make myself some coffee now and finish packing the tree decs, though good timing - the gardeners can take the tree away in their van.

Hello, very early start to today ( or was it a late finish; drove back from a friend's at 2am - temperature down to -3 - we got carried away catching up).Bright but cold near Morpeth. Today we go back to London, so will miss the walking (my brother's dog has already started moping as he misses our car), but looking forward to seeing DD,DGD and DS (the last one having had a gathering at our house while we've been away...)

Good morning. Basics done, shopped for fresh fruit nd veg, time for coffee and read the news - GN and the rest of the world. Trying to drink less coffee so going to take time to savour the two a day I am going to allow myself, one just now and one after lunch. Have a good day all.

Sorry have got fat fingers today!
Morning all from a grey murky Hampshire. Had bad night as sneezing and coughing with a sore throat, been around since before Christmas!
Trying to get to take the energy to take the dog out, I know I will feel better when I have.
Take care all and have a good day

Just got home from Lake Como late last night and cannot believe how cold it is here. So today it’s emptying my suitcase, laundry etc and keeping warm ! I also need a power walk pm to help shift my holiday excess plus make a home made soup to live on for a few days so my jeans don’t feel quite so tight !

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 03-Jan-19 10:26:59

Hope you feel better soon mumofmadboys. The weather isn't really doing anything here in the East Midlands, just a bit murky. My nose is itchy and sneezy and eyes bleary, damn! Hope I'd got away without catching those germs but apparently not.

Well done Mick, I need to check my diabetes & weight now the festive season is over (my annual check up next month)

Cold & frosty first thing here in Devon, now clearing 3C. Need to go to Library, collect my Prescription & go to Podiatry, phone call at 7.30 pm to ask if I could go today instead of next Tuesday. Bit of shopping whilst I'm out. Hope the sun makes an appearance as it was gorgeous yesterday here. Hope all of you feeling unwell make a speedy recoveryflowers

Good morning from North Shropshire.A dull day weather wise.I have a couple of days off from looking after my granddaughter so will catch up on some sorting out and hopefully start reading one of the new books I got for Christmas.Think I will give the black seed oil a try Mick,my sugars are slightly higher than I would like so worth a try??

Mapleleaf Thu 03-Jan-19 09:49:20

Good morning everyone.
It's grey, cold and very still here at the moment. If there was frost, it has melted away, but it is my no means warm. It's about 3 degrees according to the local weather report.
Well done mick on lowering your blood sugar levels and the weight loss - not easy to do over the festive period.
Not a lot planned for today.
Hope you all have a pleasant day, and those unwell, hope you soon start to feel brighter. ?

Good morning's from an Arctic Aberdeenshire! It is fffffreezing outside and everything is covered in heavy frost, 'tho the sky is clear and the sun is bright.
Shall crack on with more sewing today...with the radio on and the fan heater pumping out warmth, it's amazing how much you can get done.
Poor MOMB, I hope you feel better soon...I've just had similar and the only place to be is in bed. Keep taking toddy.brewflowers

Well, two babies up, changed, washed, dressed, breakfasted, a wash on. By nine o’clock. And four books read, two arguments sorted, lots of action rhymes sung, dishwasher emptied with lots of “help”, I’m ready to put my feet up!

Nelliemoser Thu 03-Jan-19 09:10:19

Good Morning All.

OH has Bronchitis
I have a sneezy cold.
Not much fun.

mumofmadboys Thu 03-Jan-19 09:06:27

Just having tea and toast in bed here! Still quite unwell with the lurgy. Banging head, hard to breathe, little voice. Still had it since Saturday. Got to get to end soon! Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a brightish, chilly Colchester.
We had a little win on the premium bonds too Gaga.
DH has gone fishing and DS is back to college so I have the place to myself smile
I need to go for a walk to get some exercise. I definitely didn't lose weight over Christmas!

GrannyGravy13 Thu 03-Jan-19 08:49:06

Goodmorning all x

Sky is blue in SE Essex, but it's cold outside.

Plumber has just arrived to replace shower in our en-suite, so I shall be making myself scarce by way of manicure/pedicure and then a nice relaxing coffee in our local independent coffee shop.

Wishing you all a peaceful day.

Grammaretto Thu 03-Jan-19 08:47:59

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. No sign of the sun yet. I hear a space ship had landed on the far side of the moon. (looks up)
Well done Mick on your diabetes results and weight loss!

I must make a fitness plan and stick to it.

I know I couldn't cope with a house full of small children so good on you all you child minders.
Now to get out of bed.

aggie Thu 03-Jan-19 08:38:14

Good Morning all , well done Michael with the wt loss and the blood sugar .
A relatively mild +6 here , clouded sky but dry . No plans for today , DD back to work , visitors all gone ... and breathe !
