A bit late in the day but good day to you all. I had such a stressful day yesterday and a very early start to make a day trip to my see my daughter and persuade her that she really needs to turn the heating on. It took its toll on me and I slept like the dead until about 10 this morning. Been relaxing taking down the few Christmas decorations and going out for lunch as its such a lovely bright cold day here. Take care everyone and hope all improves for those having a bad time of it.

Morning all, from a cold, dull, Hampshire.
Just got in from taking Dog out, another chores day! That is if I can manage to get myself out of the chair after having my lovely morning coffee, with a piece of Shortbread yum yum!
Take care and hope you all have a good day, especially those feeling poorly or awaiting results??

Lovely walk with my dog on the beach this beautiful January morning, very cold but blue sky. Five ships on the horizon, checked site upon return, all at anchor and Liverpool bound bar 1 SOW bound.

Good morning GNs, from the very bright and sunny Morecambe Bay area of Lancashire. We've a hard frost with a beautiful clear day. Later I'm off to see a friend for a cuppa, while DH goes to a U3A group. Happy Wednesday, everyone.

Another lovely morning on the Malvern Hills.
But dreading the snow and ice, it means we’ll be
stranded up here until it thaws??

Good Morning all , still in PJs , last lot of family set off for the boat earlier , so it is very quiet now

Juggernaut Wed 02-Jan-19 10:40:59

Morning all, from a very frosty but super sunny West Cheshire.
We had a really thick frost last night, but it's vanishing quickly in the sunshine! The back garden fences are steaming merrily away!
Just having a break from dismantling decs, I'm sure it wasn't such a big job when we were younger!
It'll be nice to get back to normal, or what passes for normal in this house!

Good morning to all. I can see some blue sky here in the East Midlands which is lovely after a few murky days. Must get some chores done today - still a bit throaty which is annoying, but it will run its course, I expect.

Quiet clear day in the Scottish Borders. We are both almost over our colds at long last and had a lovely walk and a visit to the in-laws.
Saw the Favourite yesterday and agree about Olivia Colman's acting MawBroon
Good wishes DoraMarr at the hospital. Its nice to be on holiday from all that until next week.

Pittcity Wed 02-Jan-19 09:01:45

Good morning from a bright, cold Colchester. No frost but it has certainly dropped a few degrees.
I am still suffering from a sinusy cold.
Decorations need to come down today as two sets of lights blew yesterday. A good excuse for new next Christmas.

Good morning everyone.
There's a reddish-grey glow in the sky at the moment, so unsure as to whether it's going to brighten up or become cloudy. It feels cooler.
A few chores to tackle in town today, but otherwise a fairly uneventful day in store.
Hope you get your holiday and day trips sorted today, mick - you'll gave to let us know how you got on.
Good luck with the radiotherapy next week Doramarr.
Take it steady today, marydoll - if you are in pain, your body is telling you to ease back a bit.
momb, hope you soon feel brighter.
I'm enjoying a nice cup of tea as I woke up with my mouth feeling it was full of sawdust. Must have been breathing through my mouth again - hope this cold soon goes. ?
Enjoy your plans for the day if you can.

Good morning All x
A noticeably colder morning in the NW, but a bright start.
Still feeling seedy after nearly a week I know I have a catarrhal infection and once upon a time I'd have had anti-biotics to clear it up but I'll have to let it take its course while in the meantime feeling unwell.
I have to ask myself if the 'flu-jab did its work with everyone suffering ?
This is my second Christmas/New Year feeling ill where lots of stuff has gone to waste.

Apologies for moaning but I am fed up.
Hope everyone else is on the mend as it's not nice.

Greyduster Wed 02-Jan-19 08:28:23

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Going to be dry but overcast today, and it is colder. The Christmas tree is coming down today and we will be back to whatever passes for normal in this house! Normality includes having a pile of ironing to tackle! MOMB you sound as if you are going through the mill - hope you feel better soon! Have a good day folks.

Brunette10 Wed 02-Jan-19 08:23:22

Morning to all from a frosty Fife. Dry clear sky - just lovely. Had lovely time with family yesterday and both DGS were on good form. Taking all decorations, tree down etc today and generally cleaning up. Will get out for a walk later on. Take care those feeling under the weather.

oldgaijin Wed 02-Jan-19 08:19:54

Good morning all from a still dark Aberdeenshire. Feeling a lot better today 'tho still coughing.
Think I'll make a start on finishing some sewing projects.
Good luck DoraMarr for your treatment, hope it goes well.
Have a Happy day everyone.

Marydoll Wed 02-Jan-19 08:16:06

dragonfly, sorry to hear you are stuggling too. I hope your DH improves.

harrigran Wed 02-Jan-19 08:15:22

Good morning, cool but not frosty here in the NE.
A quiet day for me as all my joints are hurting, some TV catch up as we did not have TV on yesterday.
DS and family are still away visiting in-laws.

dragonfly46 Wed 02-Jan-19 08:08:29

Morning all.
Woke up to find a delivery note pushed through the door. Obviously came at the crack of dawn and didn’t knock hard enough!

Sorry to hear you are in pain Marydoll.
Good luck with your radiotherapy next week DoraMarr.

ffinnochio Wed 02-Jan-19 07:58:26

Good morning to you all!
Venus and a crescent moon are shining brightly ... so a bright, clear start to the day. Nippy, too.

Marydoll Wed 02-Jan-19 07:53:36

Please do, Kate! I know now, they definitely won't work!!! If he's not available, I'll settle for George Clooney! I'm not choosy.

MawBroon Wed 02-Jan-19 07:53:03

Good morning all from a chilly and dark corner of N Bucks.
I am sorry to hear of your increased pain from overdoing it Marydoll time to take it a bit easier?
Good wishes for your radiotherapy,DoraMarr and to all getting “back to normal” out there -have a pleasant day!
PS I loved The Favourite - more than a bit quirky and off the wall, but Colman was magnificent!

NanKate Wed 02-Jan-19 07:51:12

Hope the tablets have reduced the pain Mary otherwise I will send Dr Kildare round with his embrocation oils.
