Nostradamus for 2019

Floods of great magnitude, some countries affected ?

Great Britain is one .

Think best I delay my therapy for overcoming agoraphobia until 2020 , yes ?

Anniebach Tue 01-Jan-19 10:35:02

Do not rush out and buy a boat in the January sales please.

Seems Nostradamus did make mistakes , his prophecies include queenie would die in 2018 , thankfully
She is still with us .

So sorry if you have put your house up for sale, bought a raft or started to build an ark.

Elegran Mon 31-Dec-18 10:07:36

Can we all come and stay with you?

Anniebach Mon 31-Dec-18 10:03:19

You are the lucky one terribull, ?

TerriBull Mon 31-Dec-18 09:59:25

I suppose I could like it like that Elegran..... the bad news is we've been flooded, the good news....there's a boat on hand to take us across the river to "The Boaters" the aptly named pub directly opposite, where if we haven't drowned, we could drown ourselves in drink grin Of course that may be flooded too, but happily next to the pub is a rowing club!

Elegran Mon 31-Dec-18 09:42:01

At least you'll be near plenty of boats if you need to be rescued, Terribull

TerriBull Mon 31-Dec-18 09:00:20

Oh no! not good for me shock my house has communal gardens that lead down to the Thames, can see the moorings and boats from my back windows. Hope the Thames Barrier stays in good working order during 2019.

Mapleleaf Sun 30-Dec-18 22:12:28

mcem your post 17:19:08 today really brought a chuckle to me. I love it! ??

Grannybags Sun 30-Dec-18 21:20:05

I'm sure that's true Anniebach

For Grannybags The story of Noah and his ark

Anniebach Sun 30-Dec-18 20:58:37

Noah is the husband of Mrs Noah ,who , if she had been in charge of getting the animals into the Ark wouldn’ have left the unicorns behind and we would still have unicorns. Only a man would leave two unicorns and take two rats . True ?

Grannybags Sun 30-Dec-18 20:51:03

Who is Noah? grin

Anniebach Sun 30-Dec-18 19:12:37

Thank you mcem I will not do the decent thing ! and refuse, I accept , haven’t had an award since the 6th form ?

Rather a few here living near the sea or rivers, best I check if
Nostradamus meant the sea or rather a lot of rain, if rain I am in trouble - living in Wales ?

Who is Noah ? kitty that is so funny x

callgirl1 Sun 30-Dec-18 19:10:39

I live just a few yards from a canal. It has been known to flood, but not since we`ve been here, 33 years. 5 years ago Boston was flooded, my son rang up, concerned about the water opposite us, but the flood waters stopped just the other side of the bridge that the road goes over.

BBbevan Sun 30-Dec-18 18:56:23

Help ! We live within sound of the sea.

kittylester Sun 30-Dec-18 18:29:48

We live about 200 metres from a river (as the crow flies) but the river is in a valley and we are on a hill.

When we were refused house insurance because of the risk of flooding, I said that if the water got high enough to flood us then Noah would have to get his boat out again.

The girl on the phone said, 'who?'

Maggiemaybe Sun 30-Dec-18 18:16:19

We'll bide our time then, Annie, see how it all pans out. smile

Anniebach Sun 30-Dec-18 17:57:20

Maggiemaybe. I have changed my mind about wanting to live in New Quay,Cardiganshire, until after 2019 ?

mcem Sun 30-Dec-18 17:55:47

In the face of all the unpleasantness elsewhere I'd like to nominate annie for the Honours list.
OBE - Order of Best Endeavours!

Maggiemaybe Sun 30-Dec-18 17:49:01

You (or at least I) can't cross anything out on an iphone using the double dashes. The dashes just join up. It does work if I'm on my Kindle or desktop though. I've no idea why. smile

As for these magnitudinous floods, I'm going to stop moaning forthwith about the very steep hill I have to climb up most days to get home, and about the fact that I no longer live by the sea.

toscalily Sun 30-Dec-18 17:38:50

Yes thank you Annie, this has made me laugh out loud.

Anniebach Sun 30-Dec-18 17:30:02

Thank you mcem , even Nostradamus is calmer than many threads , but I haven’t finished reading it yet, hope I don’t have to post ‘the end of the world is nigh* ?
