Get rid of the crazees

Okay, I am going to have to ask....
I am new here, have lurked, but just started posting.

What is wrong with, for example, talking about wearing a bra? I am obviously missing something, but I dont kniw what. We are all adults, most of us wear them at some time or other, so why can we not talk about them?
No one is talking about twirling tassels, so I just do not understand why grown up stuff cannot be discussed.

A bit stuck, so would appreciate the heads up on what I am missing ?

Sadly though, many kind GNs respond with great support and advice and are probably being made fools of?

I think the issue arises when there is an influx of out of the ordinary posts coupled with bizarre scenarios without plasible back stories .

We may be old but we’re not as green as we are cabbage looking as my gran used to say ?

I realise that support and comfort to other posters is very important on Gransnet, but surely there can be room for some out-of-the-ordinary, and even slightly risqué subjects? Why not?

You do have to wonder what posting about fake issues gets people?

Life is complicated enough I don’t have time to conjure up titillating stories or drip feed ridiculous scenarios so where do people find time let alone the impetus to do so?

And what do they get from it?

It is really sad when on another thread there is a genuine poster in despair and then there are these utter idiots posting rubbish “to get their jollies”

Unless GN does something about this there's almost no point in posting. There'll be no faith at all in the sincerity of any post. I suggest that GN let us post that we have suspicions about a thread.
If genuine the poster can respond. Knowing that we'll 'out' posters we suspect just might deter these idiots.

I hope the daily mail would be interested in my faith in God too which again I’d gladly share, or am I not worthy having spoken about the s word & dared to mention bras. Laughable if it wasn’t so sad.

I’ve absolutely nothing to hide and would gladly share my menopause symptoms with the daily mail if it helped other women. Actually sex after the menopause is a trending subject nowadays and there’s nothing distasteful about it.

By all means discuss ‘intimate issues’ but be aware that your comments might be seen by trawling journalists and end up on the pages of the Daily Mail and other unsavoury organs.
