Very dark here in NW London. I am not normally up so early but a 4 legged minx enticed me out of bed at the crack of dawn and I thought I was going to work! By the time I had worked out what was happening my bed would have been too cold to return!

Morning All

I just put some scraps out on the bird table for our visiting rook and it feels unnervingly mild. No wind and no stars but still dark. I understand that although the afternoons are beginning to lighten, the mornings continue to darken until around Twelth Night. Another week before spring starts then!

Good morning Mick, Annie and everyone from a still dark Birmingham. I’m having my morning cup of tea watching the sky lighten, from deep blue to a glimmer of pink and lighter blue- I think you can call it cerulean. I had a nice day yesterday with my visitors, including my youngest brother, who called unexpectedly. Now I need to do some housework, and I think I will have a nice long walk through the park.

Good morning everyone from a still dark Essex by the sea. I seem to wake about 6 every day at the moment and cannot get back to sleep.
Off to Kent today to see my two girls and my 5 granddaughters, very excited as we don't all get together very often. I hope the M25 doesn't cause any problems.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, still corner of Somerset. A little cleaning and a mini food shop today, nothing too taxing. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a dark, quiet East Northants. Bed stripped and washing on - no idea if I'll be able to hang it out outside yet. Spent the afternoon yesterday with youngest son, browsing vintage shops in Northampton. Meeting grandchildren from Coventry today for a catchup in a cafe. They lead such busy lives now, I have to grab my chances when I can! Hope its a peaceful day for everyone.

Good morning all from Northampton where it's still dark but dry. Cats are home from the cattery and after having got the hump last night and ignoring me, they decided I was worth waking up at 6am to get their breakfast!

Nice day with DGDs yesterday; went to watch DD (their aunty) have her riding lesson, then home, where I cooked them spaghetti bolognese for lunch. Then we all went to collect the cats and the girls went home, and I had a quiet evening watching 'Eddie the Eagle' film on tv.

Visit to Sainsbury's later this morning, then I shall watch last night's Northampton Saints rugby match on tv which I recorded last night, and celebrate a good win for our team!

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Morning Mick and All.

Calm, cool day in West Sussex.

The two GSs come back to their home today so general mayhem will break out. It is very quiet without them. Last two days here until we return home on NYE. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

Good morning from a mild Colchester.
DH has gone fishing, so I shall be able to mooch around the sales alone.

Good Morning everyone from Fife. It's dark and damp again. Can't believe it's Saturday where has the week gone! Will be seeing our DD and family today so really looking forward to that. Some shopping to do and washing to see to. Work never ends. Enjoy your day, for those feeling under the weather take care.

Just getting lighter now here in South Manchester. I’ve clicked the lamp off by my sofa. It’s dry out anyway. I’m about to make my second cuppa. DH still asleep. I love this quiet hour or so on my own.
We are minding our granddaughter, who is 2y next month, this afternoon whilst daughter and SIL take the 6y old boy along to a pantomime in Stockport.

Morning everyone.

very grey in Kent, out with friends last night. They now live in France so 'don't see them often. I'm making turkey stew for tonight with the last of the leftovers. I hope we can get Sky sorted today. It stopped working last night.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning from a mild Black Country. We still do not have the winter quilt on yet!

My DS is 43 today, hard to believe. I cannot really get away with saying I am 45 any longer smile

Brother and SIL had Mum to stay for last couple of days, they are coming over this afternoon. Then I will take Mum home to save them a longer journey.

Enjoy your family visit Sar53, hope you have a good weekend kitty entertaining your family.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning all from Aberdeenshire...the sky is clear with a hint of pink but I think it will. cloud over.
Did a quick food shop yesterday so I shouldn't need to go out for anything except milk 'til next year! Am going to friends for a Hogmanay dinner and an overnight stay, so no driving in the dark and I can have a wee dram. My contribution to the feast is a cheese board...easy to assemble and no cooking.
This afternoon, I shall binge watch the Royal Institute
Christmas Lectures.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. No idea what the weather is doing; I can’t get out of bed, as my back let me down last night. DS is coming down today expecting lunch and DH will have to cook it. Fortunately it is sausage and mash so it shouldn’t tax his skills too much! Have a good day folks.

Good mornimg all from a not so pleasant Glasgow.
I was up six, but went back to bed, still feeing under the weather.
Family all going to DS1's today for a wee get together, not sure if I will go..

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning All x

Rather mild here in the NW but still have the light on as it seems to stay dark until 9am.

One cat has been a pest this morning waking the neighbourhood by knocking down a triple mirror on my dressing table-----a thunderous noise but nothing broken.

Getting over a head cold which fortunately was short-lived. Sneezing it away !
All I need today is a small loaf and a supply of crumpets.
More of a feeling of normality now after a week not knowing what day it was.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning from a very noisy NE, we have gale force winds and it is 4 degrees but probably feels a lot cooler.
DS and family are away visiting in laws so that GC can meet up with their cousins so a quiet weekend at harri mansion.
Had BP check with nurse yesterday and asked for a print out of my recent blood tests. The print out shows somebody was telling little porkies when they enrolled me on the Diabetes prevention programme, they told me over the phone that my blood sugar was a lot higher than it was.

Good afternoon.
It's a breezy old day today here in South Yorkshire but not cold.
Just got back from a small shop - a few basics we'd run short of.
DH got to pop out this pm so I think I might check the tv to see if there's a decent film to watch. (I might be lucky).
Hope the day us going well so far for you. ?
